As soon as the ambulance arrive, the medical team tried their best to help Min Young.
The doctor had asked him questions but Jin wasn't really able to tell him anything.
So he called Min Young's secretary to know what was going on.
When she arrived, she was with another doctor.
And when he learned the diagnosis of Min Young's condition, he slumps to the floor upon hearing it and cried.
Min Young's doctor requested for her to be transferred to his hospital as soon as possible.
Everything happened so fast.
But just like before, Jin thinks he still couldn't do anything at all.
-----
Jin decided to stay by Min Young's side and called his manager to cancel his schedule for a few days. He went home to wash up and changed his clothes and pack some clothes for his stay at the hospital.
And when Min Young was finally transferred to a bigger hospital in Seoul, there in her hospital room, her secretary told Jin everything she has been through for the past months they weren't together.
After learning the truth, to say he was frustrated is an overstatement.
He couldn't understand why Min Young kept on suffering.
What's worst is that he couldn't even detect something was wrong with her even when they were together.
And he regrets it. He regrets lots of things like easily giving up on their relationship. He's really mad at himself and thinks he shouldn't have left her and keeps on blaming himself for being weak.
He cried beside her while holding her hand as she sleeps peacefully.
He kept asking for forgiveness and tries to take back every mean thing he might have said to her before.
He cried and cried until sleep and exhaustion finally consumes him.
-----
When Jin wakes up, it's to a hand caressing his hair and a faint humming.
And when he looked up, he saw Min Young smiling and looking at him fondly even though she look so weak and exhausted, he couldn't help himself but cry again.
He suddenly hugs her but not too tightly.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
"What? Why... are you apologizing?"
"I'm sorry Min..."
"Jin? Why... are you... crying?"
"I shouldn't have left you before. I should've just stayed by your side. I shouldn't have let you go."
"It was.. inevitable Jin... Back then... we really... couldn't heal... if we had stayed... together..."
"No... No..."
Min Young gently caresses Jin's back.
"And... it's not... your fault... that I'm sick... now... So please... don't blame yourself... Seeing you are happy now... I think... I can leave you... peacefully..."
"No... Min Young-ah... You are not going to die. Damn it."
He breaks the hug and looks at Min Young brokenly.
