Stay in your lane

"Group C" Jeno held his card up to see who were the students in his group.

Mr. Jung had given them a group assignment to "deepen" their bond with each other. As an ace student, Jeno has to do his best.

"Babyyy~ it's destiny!" Renjun exclaimed as he jumped on Jeno earning a groan from him.

Jeno saw that a familiar honey-haired boy made his way towards him. Doesn't he work in the cafe too?

"Hello, I'm Lee Donghyuck. Group C" the boy said as he hi-fived the two boys.

"Guess we're meant to be after all" Jaemin popped out and winked at Jeno. Jeno groaned and looked away.

Lee Donghyuck. The school's biggest flirt. The boy who makes every girl go crazy over his vocals and visuals. He's just ethereal. Who even knows how many ex-girlfriends he has? He is the bad kinda player.

The boys had decided to go to Jeno's house for the assignment. As they went in, as usual, Ten was not there. "Work issues", he would say. Jeno took them to his room.

"'What can youngsters do to relieve their stress' is our topic," Jeno said as he sat down with the others.

"Clubbing, duh!" Haechan said.

"Kiss, kiss, fall in love~," Jaemin said as he tapped the table.

Jeno sighed in utter disappointment. He turned to look at what Renjun was doing.

Renjun was listening to Love Shot at the corner of the room. Assignments mean nothing to him and he clearly knows Jeno would take care of everything.

"Guys, listen. Be serious!" Jeno exploded.

"Ok sis," Haechan said as he started playing on his mobile.

"Ahhh sexyyyy~ I like that voice~" Jaemin jumped in excitement!

Sighhhhh

Renjun snorted. He took a liking to the "Donghyuck" guy. They started playing together.

Jeno could only facepalm.

Ding Dong

A tall boy was there outside the door. "Marrrkkkk Leeee" Jeno jumped on the boy. "Save me from these devils" he whispered into his ear.

Chuckling, Mark introduced himself to the youngsters and sat down to help. The boys never paid attention to him, sadly.

"I'm hungry. Feed me" Haechan yelled. "Me too, Jeno-ah" Renjun joined him. Jeno knew these brats only exist to take the life out of him so he gave in.

He went to the kitchen to prepare some fruits. As he was cutting the fruits, he felt a small hand crawl around his waist. Startled, he turned around only to find a petite Jaemin in front of him.

"What are you doing," Jeno said as he pushed Jaemin's hand away. "I don't know. You tell me" Jaemin whispered as he held Jeno closer. Jaemin's hand traveled across Jeno's back and held his neck.

Jeno, looking like a tomato, pushed Jaemin away. "Don't test my limits, Na Jaemin. Stay in your lane" Jeno said sternly as he walked towards his room. Jaemin chuckled and followed him.

After wasting the whole evening away, the boys decided to go back home. "Bye, Jeno! Thank you for having us! It was fun!" Haechan said as he waved. Renjun and Jaemin found that they lived close to each other, so they left together.

Mark decided to stay with Jeno.

"So... You like that Jaemin guy?" Mark asked as he sat next to Jeno on the couch.

"No way, hyung. It's just that he's a bit too flirty and pushy. That's all" Jeno replied. Mark only saw that Jeno was confused as hell.

"By the way, you know my ex-girlfriend Akira? It seems she found a new boyfriend" Mark said he scrolled through his phone.

"Oh? Didn't you guys date for like two years or something? Do you still like her?"

"Nah, I'm over her. I don't even know why I fell for her"

Ten had come back by nine and Mark stayed overnight after dinner.

Me:
I'm home, babe.
Was at a friend's house
for a group assignment.

Can we eat lunch
together tomorrow?

Me:
