Kazuichi's POV

*ding dong ding dong*

Kazuichi's eyes shot awake at the sound of the Morning announcement. He groaned as he sat up and stretched, cracking a few joints as he did so.

"God damnit man."  Kazuichi cursed as he looked up at the bright TV in his room, displaying the horrific bear on the screen. He blocked off the sounds that came from the television, yet still looked at the screen. Trying to adjust his eyesight as the screen shut off. He hated the morning announcement, he hated it so much that he'll make an alarm to wake him up 10 minuets before the morning announcement just so he could leave before hearing it.

He stood up and went over to his jumpsuit and reluctantly put it on. He lazily put on his beanie and got his sneakers on. Before opening the door to let in the bright light. He put his hands up to block out the light from hitting his eyes until he'd gotten used to the sudden brightness.

Today was a new day, he couldn't be locked up in his room forever. He wasn't the type of person to do so.

He sighed as he walked down to the breakfast meeting, yet as he was walking he spotted Fuyuhiko, another classmate of his walking towards towards the other islands.

"Hey! Fuyuhiko!"  Kazuichi called, causing Fuyuhiko to stop and turn around to face the pink haired student.

"What the hell do you want?" Fuyuhiko snapped, his hands placed in his side pockets.

Kazuichi awkwardly looked to the side. "Oh uh- sorry I was just saying hello. Like people do right?"  He awkardly chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Sure. Hi."  The blonde turned back around and continued to walk towards the other islands.

"W-wait! Aren't you coming to breakfast?"  Kazuichi called to his classmate.

"Why would I want to spend breakfast with you?" Fuyuhiko said coldy as he turned his head to look at Kazuichi.

Taken back, Kazuichi retreated and began to walk towards the diner to meet with his other classmates.

Kazuichi had sat by himself at one of the tables, too insecure to actually sit next to someone on his own. Due to past experiences in public schools.

While eating he rested his head on the palm of his hand. Staring at the beautiful blonde student a few tables away. Sonia Nevermind, a real princess. She is everything Kazuichi had dreamed of ever since he was a kid. This was his chance to finally get what he really wanted. Someone that would love him, and someone that he would love. Yet as much as he stared at the blonde for some reason he couldn't feel the butterflies in his chest like he's supposed to when he likes someone.

Getting frustrated by this he began to list everything he liked about her, yet all of it ended up as just liking her looks. This isn't what he wanted. He needs to like her. Why can't he like her? What is wrong with him. He frustratingly bit into the toast he had got himself, which was smothered in strawberry jam.  As he chewed he continued to stare at the beautiful princess, who was having a conversation with Akane, and Mahiru.

He had to like her, she was so pretty.

Why couldn't he like her?
