"Hey Darlin'." She heard from behind her.She turned from the paperwork she was ass deep in to glare at her brother's best friend. "Don't you 'Hey Darlin' me! This is like your 5th break today and it's not even 1:00 yet Jax!"
She crossed her arms deepening her glare as he put two cigarettes between his lips lighting them both before holding one towards her.
"And don't try to butter me up with nicotine. That Toyota has to be finished today." She rolled her eyes but reached for the lit cigarette.
"Its too hot to work today." He chuckled sitting back on the arm of the ratty office couch.
"Yeah, it is. Go buy me a cold drink." She said glancing over her shoulder with a sugary smile.
"Sorry Darlin', no small bills."
"Sorry Darlin', no small bill." She mocked under her breath.
"What was that?" He laughed.
"Nothin'." She replied innocently standing up.
Jax chuckled as she moved over towards the filing cabinet with the cigarette dangling from her pouty pink lips. The smoke dancing around her pretty face and tangling into her long curly raven hair as she exhaled downward.
He allowed his eyes to follow the smoke trail briefly.
She is not a little girl anymore. She really grew up in Seattle. He thought.
"That's new." He gestured to the black and silver ring dangling from her belly button exposed by her black crop top.
"What? You don't like?" She replied with a cheeky smile.
She was always pushing his buttons. Always pushing limits with him. Shamelessly flirting even though he knew she meant nothing by it. She really just thought it was hilarious to fuck with him.
"No." He replied but thoughts of how the cool metal would contrast against her warm skin as he ran his tongue across it invaded his mind. What the fuck am I thinking?
"Uh huh." She rolled her eyes. "I mean it about the Toyota, Jackson! If it's not done by closing you're gonna call the owners yourself and explain to them why it's taking so long. That stuck up bitch has called me three times today." She crossed her arms doing nothing but adding heat to the already blistering day as her arms pushed up her full breasts.
"You gonna make me?" He glared at her with a cocky smile as he struggled to keep his eyes on her face.
She raised an eyebrow stepping closer to him. She stopped in front of him resting her hand on the arm on the couch he was sitting on. Her soft green eyes meeting his dense blue ones. She took her lip between her teeth cocking her head at him and glancing down at his lips. She inched closer causing him to hold his breath. She was playing with fire and she knew it.
He briefly shut his eyes swallowing her sweet floral scent. When he opened his eyes he was met with a bright smile that revealed all of her teeth but before he could break she popped him in the head with a clipboard.
"At least sign these and make yourself useful." She laughed loudly causing her big doe eyes to squint at the corners.
"Asshole." He chucked grabbing the clipboard.
She moved back to the filing cabinet and resumed whatever the hell she had been doing leaving him to try to subtly adjust himself in his jeans.
