"God, are you even there? You are never there." A glowing blue light emerged and then...

I woke up surrounded by books with my computer opened and my coffee mug at the very corner of the table, just mere millimeters from a disaster on the carpet. It took me a few moments to realize where I am and what I have been doing. "Oh yeah," I sighed, "test tomorrow". I stretched and after another minute of contemplating stood up and went to wash my face. I was almost done with studying, just two more semesters and I'm done with my third and last year - fourteen more tests to forget all about it forever.

I washed my face and the mug, the last thing I need is to take the carpet to the dry cleaners just before the test. I decided to rest for a few more minutes before getting back to studying. I glanced at the clock, the time was 1:48 a.m, on any other day I would stress about the late hour. Luckily the test, which is technically today, starts only at 3 p.m, so I'm not in a rush. I'm not sure how long I nodded off for but I'm going to finish the few pages I have left and go back to sleep, like a normal person this time. I looked at my computer, "10 pages? I'll live," I told myself aloud while sitting down on the couch and looking at the ceiling. For a moment I could swear I saw something flowing, "what is that?" After blinking a few times I thought to myself, "I bet I'm just imagining things, I just woke up after all."

After having the biggest yawn in the history of yawns, I made myself a new cup of coffee and sat back down in front of my computer to read the last pages of my notes. When I'm done I will be ready for the test and be able to sleep soundly. I read for almost another hour with some sugar breaks, some sugar for my brain to function a little bit longer, and finished around 3 o'clock in the morning.

A shiny blue light danced to a background that looked like the sky. I am not sure if I watched it, if I were the sky that held the light or if I were the light itself. It looked as if there were pure, glowing particles of energy, just waltzing along with an unseen force - so elegant and beautiful, impossible to describe. It felt like a dream. Is it a dream?

The sound of the alarm clock made me jump straight up, seems as if even the clock is too tired to ring any longer, "what time is it?", I thought to myself, mumbling. The time was 9:32 in the morning, "for the sake of 2 minutes you go this crazy?" I said, directing my words towards the clock and turned it off. Now to my daily routine - stretch > shower > complain > get dressed > a cup of coffee in my hand and out we go. By the time an hour had passed, I already was sitting by the table, a few friends around me. Apparently all of them had the same night as mine. Computers out, books, notebooks, notes, tissue for the tears and eye drops; we sat down to go over the materials for the test for the last time before we take a breather and then straight to the test. From then on - whatever will be, will be. Nothing else to be done. All of us are pretty stressed at this time of year, very busy, as well. I would like to take a break already and happily, this is the last test of the semester and the near future. After that, all that's left is to have another wave of tests, more studying, one last wave of tests and DONE, forget it ever happened.

Maybe I should invite my friends on some kind of trip? We can plan a small outdoors trip, nothing too big. Us, nature, maybe a nice bottle of booze and music. Just a few nights sound good, I'll ask them after the test what they want to do. "Hey, guys! Do you want to meet up here after the test? We can plan something to do after all these test, what do you say? I've got a few ideas," I suggested. "Sure!" they all said one after the other. "Cool, it is settled, then." I said as we slowly put everything in our bags and took out what was needed for the test itself.

Right after the test we all gathered slowly, first came Oliver and asked "so..... How was it?" and looked at me. "It was fine, I guess. I think I passed," I said a bit frustrated. "You always say it and then get the highest score," he objected, "give me your brain, I would make very good use of it," he laughed. The next to come were Mari, Quinn, Lyr and Maeve. "I HATE TESTS!" yelled Maeve, "who even needs them, anyway?" she sat down angrily. Meanwhile, Quinn was on her phone and Lyr was singing as per usual. We discussed the test for a bit - how was it, what do we expect and of course, what now?

"OK, guys," I started. "I've got an idea for our trip. We can go next week, so we have enough time to organize everything we need and leave. I'm thinking about a trip outdoors, with tents, all of us together, in the forest. We can split into 2 groups of 3 or 3 groups of 2, bring two cars, go away for the weekend and just relax. We even have a small waterfall there, so It'd be really cool!" I winked at them with a bright smile, "what do you think?" They exchanged a few glances and agreed unanimously, "that sounds amazing, Keana! We're in!" And so we have decided to plan our upcoming trip.
