SUMMARY!
Once upon a time,there was a girl called Ella and she saw the world not always as it was, but perhaps what it could be, with just a little bit of magic.
When her father passes away, she is left in the care - if you'd call it such - of her stepmother, and her world that once believed to be full of magic begins to dull and darken in a blur of cinder ash.
However, she feels her luck beginning to turn when she stumbles upon a handsome stranger in the woods surrounding her small village, who introduces himself as Arthur, a knight of Camelot.
In the hope of meeting him again, Ella sets her sights on the Royal Ball in Camelot and with a few pumpkins, her mice friends and some help from a certain young warlock, she may succeed. But she will only have UNTIL MIDNIGHT.
PLOT POINTS TO CONSIDER!
- The plot pretty follows the events of Disney's 2015 adaptation of Cinderella
- The Tremaine family live in a small yet fairly wealthy village on the outskirts of Camelot, that is merely a short ride away from the citadel
- Ella is very familiar with the people of Camelot, due to frequenting the town's markets every week, and has a close relationship Gaius since he is the physician that treated her mother when she was ill
- She is also familiar with Prince Arthur's reputation despite never seeing him in the flesh, learning from his manservant that he is quite a piece of work so doesn't suspect that the humble stranger she meets in the woods is him.
- Ella is extremely naïve, which is more of a curse than a blessing as while it helps her maintain a positive outlook on life, it leads to many people taking advantage of her.
- As magic is banned in Camelot, her belief in it causes her to be considered as somewhat of a social pariah in her village, although those that know her knows she harmless.
- As far as canon characters are concerned, the characteristic I'm imagining correspond with how they are in season one. Eg. Morgana being like Arthur's sister instead of mortal enemy x
