Even though she knew Lila would most likely take the credit for the trip if Marinette did win, she was still excited when the time for the results to come in hit.
Tikki was excited too, even if Marinette couldn't leave the toxic environment of her class, she could at least leave Paris so she could finally let out her emotions.
Having all that pent up negativity was really doing a number on the raven haired girl. She had gotten more distant ever since Lila had fulfilled her promise to take all of Marinette's friends... partially.
She had lost Alya with particularly well placed lie from the sausage haired brunette, but made a unlikely friend in Chloe. She didn't exactly lose Adrien, but realized that while wanting to take the high road, he was just a spineless pawn in his fathers grasp.
After the so called "high road" incident, Marinette's crush on the emerald eyed blonde quickly faded. Yet, Lila used her past crush on Adrien to account for Marinette's supposed "bullying and jealousy".
The only people who stood by Marinette were now Rose, Chloe, Nathaniel, Mylene, and Kim. They all had a reason for it.
Rose's was that she knew Marinette could hurt Lila, but she wouldn't.
Chloe knew that Lila was a liar from day one, she had searched her daddy's files for information.
Nathaniel had known that Marinette was too kind to bully anyone, and she had confided in him that it was, in fact, the other way around.
Mylene had been cornered by Lila after she had stood up for Marinette and confronted her about the lies.
Kim was an old friend of Marinette's and obviously, even if she had done something to Lila, which she hadn't, he would've stood by her side the whole time.
Marinette had friends that weren't in her class though also, and they didn't believe Lila either, Kagami, Luka, Marc, Jagged Stone, and Clara Nightingale.
Jagged and Clara often asked for commissions from Marinette and she was his personal designer and honorary niece.
