Chapter 3 - Potential Rival Identified

Finding difficulty in sleeping. Honoka decides to talk to her mom about being chosen as the new student council president. She goes to the elder Kousaka couple's room. She's lucky to see that it's only Mrs. Kousaka that is inside and had just finished changing her clothes.

Honoka: Mom can we talk?

Mrs. Kousaka: Sure sweetie. What is it that you want to talk about?

Honoka: Mom have you ever been a student council president in Otonokizaka High School when you were my age?

Mrs. Kousaka: I was a member of the student council. But I never made it as president. Why are you asking me something like that sweetie?

Honoka: It's Eli-chan mom.

Mrs. Kousaka: Eli-san? What about her?

Honoka: She personally picked me to be her successor as student council president. I don't know if I can handle such a tough responsibility like that.

Mrs. Kousaka: What happened to the Honoka who is always optimistic? The one who took the risk of forming Muse in order to save Otonokizaka.

Honoka: Mom that was different. This one I have to be much earlier in school to do all the paperwork and check out the monthly budgets of each club.

Mrs. Kousaka: If I remember correctly. Kotori's mom was picked to be the student council president back then. Maybe you should ask her for advice.

Honoka: Ok mom I will ask her. Thanks for listening to me.

Mrs. Kousaka: You're welcome sweetie.

Honoka goes back to her room and goes to sleep. This time she gets to have peaceful slumber. While somewhere else in Tokyo a brunette haired girl is still having trouble sleeping. The thought of the ginger haired girl with a side ponytail continues to bother her thoughts.

Tsubasa's Thoughts:

*Why can't I just get over her God damnit?! Have I been charmed by her simple beauty? She's not like her group mates. Yet, why is she the one that I got interested into the most? Or is it her charisma that got me? Oh...... Damnit! I can't get her off my mind. I shouldn't be feeling something like this. I'm Tsubasa Kira leader of A-RISE. There's no way that I should be falling in love with a girl like her. I must try to fight this feeling. If this keeps up I am done for. Please get off my mind.*

End of Tsubasa's thoughts.

The following morning Tsubasa wakes up still feeling drowsy. Her maid gives her a cup of coffee with no sugar. As soon as she drinks it. She gets stimulated by the bitter taste. Meanwhile Honoka had waken up earlier than her usual time. She didn't mind this and instead did her normal routine. After that she goes to school ahead of Umi and Kotori. She decides to go to the chairwoman's office and talk with her.

Knock knock knock......

????: Come in it's open!

Honoka: (comes in) Good morning Chairwoman Minami.

Chairwoman Minami: Ah...... Honoka-san...... What can I do for you?

Honoka: I want to ask if you have been picked as the student council president of Otonokizaka when you were my age?

Chairwoman Minami: Hmm...... Let me guess Eli-san officially picked you as her successor. Am I correct?

Honoka: Yes ma'am. So did you get picked as student council president back then?

Chairwoman Minami: I wasn't picked. But I did run for student council president and I won two times. Why are you asking me this?

Honoka: Because I am having second thoughts about this ma'am. I know personally that I am not qualified for the position.
