When the world is at it's darkest(unfinished)

For two years in this apocalypse. I’ve been stuck with the raiders. I’ve been trying to escape but I always end up getting caught.  Last time my punishment was losing my finger. I met a girl named  Mona Kikaroma. Before this apocalypse, Mona was a nurse in training. 

I and Mona planned on escaping together. Though it hasn’t worked any other time this time we will make it. I know we will. We can’t stay here. If we do it could be deadly. We have a plan, now just to put it in action. There is a broken window at the very top of where we are being held. If this goes wrong they’ll take our lives. It has half-past dawn shift change is in 3 minutes. Our guards aren’t the brightest, so they leave us unwatched for 5 minutes. When they are heading to the sleeping quarters. Mona pushed me up to the window. It was just the size for one very thin person, which wasn’t hard when you’re starved. We made it through. “So what now?” Mona had asked me. “Well um… I guess we need to find shelter and new weapons.” I replied. We find what looks like an old hospital. It looked like a Raiders base so we stayed away. We found a small abandon house.
