Rydel's POV

"Every morning after
It's the same disaster
Every time it's groundhog day."

As Rocky ended the last note, I had the same chills I got every time I heard this song. As many of the fans would agree, it is hauntingly beautiful, and while you may not have experienced anything related to the song, it still manages to crawl inside of you, refusing to be let go.

Even being the part of the band, it had that effect on me too.

We were at a sound check in LA, and we were due to perform in thirty minutes. We wrapped up the final songs and then headed outside to meet the fans, and then finally backstage where we made our final preparations. I finished a bottle of water and then huddled up with the rest of the boys, where we did our pre-performance ritual and then we ran onto stage.

I started the chords for Heart Made Up On You. As soon as Ross started singing, the crowd went crazy, if they weren't already.

There was something about performing that you simply have to love. Perhaps it was the high it gave you when the fans went crazy, or maybe it was the freedom that playing music gave. Just being on stage gave you a euphoric high that made you addicted, and you're always going to want to go back on stage.

The next song was I Want U Bad. I smiled. I loved this song. It was an upbeat song, and I was sure many could relate to the song. It was about a person that you really like, yet you can't be with them, because they're already with someone else. I know exactly how that feels.

Next, we did a cover of Counting Stars by one republic. Ellington started with the drums. You can we all love being in R5 by our genuine enthusiasm. El was killing it. I grinned at him and he grinned back at me.

By the time the concert was over, any feeling of tiredness that may have existed between us was gone by that time. Like I said, the euphoric high experienced on stage was a feeling that you just simply wanted to grab onto. You never wanted to let go of the feeling, and the enthusiasm spreads throughout the band members, which is amazing.

As soon as we got backstage, that was when we really went crazy. I jumped on El's back, and he started running around while I yelled at him to run faster. Riker and Rocky were pushing Ross around and Ryland was videoing the whole thing, though by the way Ry was laughing, I was pretty sure that all that could have been seen was very unstable footage with very loud laughter.

After we had calmed down a bit, we went out to meet the fans who had waited for us, while the roadies packed up. It was the least we could do for them. Most of them came more than five hours earlier and would probably stay in until they've met us. It was the dedication of our fans that kept us going as a band.

"Next stop, HOME!" Riker announced happily. LA had been the last stop for the tour, and we were happy to be back, despite the fun and memories we had on tour.

We all collected out things and then piled into a mini van which would then send us off to our individual houses. It was great to be back home in LA. Sometimes, no matter where in the world we have been, there is (and I don't mean to quote) no place like home.

I sat next to El, my favourite person in the band - don't tell Riker though. He put his arm around me. "I can't wait to finally be getting back home!"

"I know it's amazing! I any wait to see Kel again!" I smiled. Kelly was El's girlfriend, and I was really sure they liked each other very much. I mean hello, they've been together for like, ever.

"I can't wait to crash on my nice and comfy bed have a shower for as long as I like!" I sighed. It was true. When we toured in a tour bus, there's only so long you can go sharing the washroom with everyone else. And let's face it, the beds were definitely not as comfortable as the ones we have at home. And the privacy. Definitely something that can't be helped during tour.

I leant my head on his shoulder and slowly felt my eyelids dropping close. However, they would open whenever the van ran over a pothole or something like that, and then they would close as the van continued to drive. Nearing our house, though, I found myself becoming increasingly excited to finally be back home.

Home sweet home.

"Well, I'll see you soon?"

I smiled. "Of course, El. Of course!"

Walking up the porch, I put my arm around Riker and Rocky and the three of us moved towards the door. Ryland and Ross were already in front, as the both of them were trying to get the toilet to themselves first.

The first thing that hit me as I crossed the threshold was the familiar smell of home. The smell of fresh bed sheets and of whatever soap we all used. It was one of the smells I truly loved and missed during tour.

I took my time in waking to my room. When Ross or Ryland were in the bathroom, it would probably have taken a while. In fact, we all loved to take our time after a tour, simply soaking a bathtub of hot water; a luxury when on a bus.

After what seemed like forever, there was an empty bathroom and I ran in before any of the boys could have taken it. As I sank back into the hot water, I felt my muscles relax and a smile formed on my face. Now this was what I had missed.
