Chapter 2

Yes!Finally!

After of what seems like forever of driving, we are finally here.

We are now at the front of a large gate with a signage above it saying Welcome to Paraiso del Martins.I can also see from here a wide garden of flowers and a large mansion-like front of an inn. Perhaps it's a hotel. I do not know. Maybe it  is just an inn but for a large beach resort like this, maybe we can already consider it as a hotel. Or maybe both.We'll just going to find out.

A guy appeared from the guard house's window. I supposed he is the security guard. Dad rolled down his window to settle something. We also did the same.

I let my head out of the window and took a great view of the landscape outside. It also look wonderful like the garden inside. Wow...This just shows how really great God is.

I didn't noticed I was already displaying a sweet smile on my face. I just love appreciating God's creation. But a part of me thought maybe they've just hired the best gardeners on Earth to achieve this.

I stayed like that for a while then suddenly, I felt somebody was watching or either staring at me. I looked around but saw nobody.

I just pushed that thought at the back of mind because that might be just part of my wide imagination.

"Roll up the windows now."Dad snapped me out of my thoughts.

I rolled up the window and Lucas and I started singing, "We're so excited! We just can't hide it!..." with a headbang.

We are now at the front of the information desk. Dad was still looking for a space to park our car.

A lady from behind the desk spoke.

"Good afternoon ma'am. Welcome to Paraiso del Martins. How can I help you?"

"I'm Mrs.Geroux, Mrs.Martins' good friend."

"Oh, Mrs.Geroux. We we're expecting your arrival. Um. Can you excuse me for a second, ma'am?"

"Um. Okay. Sure."

The lady dialed a number on the phone and talked to somebody which I supposed was informing our arrival.

Wow.I felt just like a VIP.

She hanged up and said,"She is already coming ma'am."

"Okay, thank you." Mom said with a smile.

We we're about to sit at the waiting lounge when we heard an excited voice from behind us.

"Elizabeth!"she cried."How are you?"

Mom turned to her with a surprised look.

"Antonette! I'm good.It's really great to see you again." they exchanged a kiss."You?How are you?"

"I'm great,now that I have seen you."

Dad came and wrapped an arm around mom's shoulders.

"Oh.Joseph,this is Antonette.Antonette,this is Joseph,my husband."

"Nice to meet you,Antonette."

"Nice to meet you,too.And is this Lorisse now?"She looked at me with a teary eyes.Mayne it was just because of gladness.

"Yes,this is Lorisse.She is already sixteen now."

She just nodded with a sad smile,eyes still locked on mine intently.

"And this is Lucas.Ten."

She was like snapped out from her thoughts on me.

"Oh.So,uummm...Anne and her family are already on their way.They will be arriving so soon."

Ah,yeah.I forgot about Mrs.Carlson.

"And speaking of ..."

Mrs.Carlson and her family entered the grand door.She was with her husband and her son.

I haven't avoided myself to study her son.Mom said he's just my age.He's wearing a blue v-neck polo,a pair of jeans and a Ray Ban sunglasses.He has a dark brown hair and a pale but fair skin.He took off his glasses,revealing his emerald green eyes.OMG.He's hot in all fairness.

But!There is a big but there.I don't like his aura.He looks like so boastful and proud.I can already see it through his actions,the way he walks and moves.

And excuse me.I just want to remind you that was not drooling.Not especially with him.I'm still really far from being that kind of person.I may be cheerful and playful but it is still out from my mind having feelings like that what you are thinking.

I pulled my thoughts away from him.I looked around and pretended to be studying the chandelier at the middle of the hall.But as I gaze my sight around,a guy outside the glassdoor at the left side of the waiting lounge caught my attention.With his built,I can say that he is also i  my age.He has a camera hanging on his neck and was sitting at his bike.

When he sensed I already have noticed him,he quickly grabbed the stirring of his bike and emmidiately went away.

Hhhmmmmm...look suspecious huh?
