Lucille slapped Raoul as I slapped Emile. "Ow, that hurt!" Raoul said, earning him other slap. "Aye!" He said as we shushed them about it. "What do you mean 'shh'?" He asked as both boys started to stumble on words. "It's the monster!" Raoul whispered. "He is not a monster." Lucille said as we dragged the boys to the dressing room. Lucille checked around to make sure we were being spied on before shutting the door as I helped Francoeur take off his mask and hat while he messed with his guitar.

"What about the eye witnesses and all of the destruction?" Emile asked as I sat next to Francoeur. "When panic, they say all sorts of crazy things." Lucille said and walked over with a smile and sat on the arm of the couch beside me, handing me the mask. "He may be a giant flea, but he wouldn't hurt a tiny fly. Look at him." Lucille said with a smile as I messed with his mask. "And his voice. Have you ever heard anything so sweet?" I asked as he hummed with the strum of the guitar. "We have once." Emile said as the boys looked at each other. "Yeah, and by a monkey." Raoul said as I tilted my head curiously but decided not to question.

There was a knock at the door followed by Aunt Carlotta's soft voice. "Oh, Lucille, are you ready? You're on in two minutes." She said as Lucille quickly covered Francoeur's face with flowers in case Aunt Carlotta walks in. "I'll be right there!" Lucille called out. What we didn't know was Albert was listening to us from beyond the wall with his ear on it. "I guess he does look pretty laid back for a monster." Emile said as Francoeur enjoyed the smell of the bunch of flowers. "He does, Emile. Okay, here's what we do. We introduce him to the commissioner tomorrow at the press conference, we clear the entire thing up. What do you think?" Raoul asked. "What press conference?" Lucille and I asked together.

Time Skip Past the Conference (Because I'm a lazy author)

I was helping Lucille clean up a bit as Francoeur was messing with the piano and seeming to be writing a song. I smiled then walked over when we were done and sat beside him. He smiled and chirped happily as he showed me. There was frantic knocking on the door as Lucille sighed and walked out. Francoeur started to play what he had already written down as it was turning out really nice. "Hurry up! In here!" Lucille said and shoved the boys and an adorable monkey in the room. The boys looked at us as we looked at them and waved they waved back before explaining everything.

I told them where to hide in case they came in here. I listened carefully as I heard heels run over to the door. I signaled the boys to hurry up and get in the chimney then helped Francoeur get into the piano before getting in with him, having to lay on him. He chirped as I covered his mouth and softly shushed him. "First, you accuse me without a shred of evidence, then you violate my private property! If you dare to enter my dressing room, you will have to find another singer." I hear Lucille said as listened closely for anything. "Consider it done." I hear Maynott say and opened the door.

I hear things being thrown as Maynott kept asking where Francoeur was. I looked down at Francoeur, hearing a muffled chirp. I noticed his arm was in an uncomfortable and carefully moved them to around me as to not make any noise. "We checked everywhere, sir. Nothing." I hear Pate say as I wasn't going to give praise just yet since they're still here. "Really?" Maynott asked with confusion and surprise. "I told you." Lucille said as I felt my heart speed up and Francoeur must of noticed because he rubbed my back as I moved my hands, knowing to stay quiet now.

I smiled a bit and found it strange that I was falling for a flea, but he is more human than anyone I know. "I'm confused. I don't know what to say." Maynott said in defeat. "I do. Thank you." Lucille said with I can imagine a sweet smile. "Thank you?" Maynott asked with confusion now. "For putting the public safety before you're own. Leading the charge to rid this terrible danger wherever it may take you." Lucille said as we hear something light being set on the piano, causing me and Francoeur to tense a bit. "It was right here! I heard it!" I hear Albert say as I knew it had to be him, that little rat. I wanted to jump out and scream at him, but that would give Francoeur away.
