Chapter Two
Clara's P.O.V.
"Hey, you know what will help drown your sorrows even more?" I asked my heartbroken friend.
"Huh?"
"Party Time!"
"Eh....nah...let me eat my ice cream in peace woman!"
"Well that's a first! Jamarcus Ishmael Goodwin passing up a chance to dress his favourite princess! Ah the shock!" I mocked.
He glared at me for using his whole name. I've always teased him about his middle name and repeatedly say to him "Call me Ishmael". He loved me.
I gave him my pouty-puppy eyes, wagging my eyebrows up and down for good measure, and said, "You can do my hair and makeup?"
"Eh..."
"Pick out my......dress" I said reluctantly.
"Deal!.....but I am not coming!" He pouted.
"Nope sorry, won't take no for an answer!" I said dragging him to my room.
"Oh and did I mention that it's masquerade themed!" His eyes lit up just slightly.
"After all we would like to impress Kylie since he is going to be there" I said wagging my eyebrows yet again.
"Oh fine, come along bitch" he sighed.
-
"Can I look now?" I huffed."Just a minute!"
I really think he tries too torture me.
I have always hated dresses. When my parents died I took a vow never to try and look pretty. There is no sense in putting on a mask when there is no one left to see it.
I actually used to be very nice and girly, whatever that meant. But people change, sometimes for better or worse.
I get up and walk to the bathroom, ready to see what horrors await me, and turn to look in the mirror.
"Beautiful." Jamie said.
"Huh...uh....ah." Was all I could muster.
Beautiful couldn't even describe the amazing feeling that I felt. I was, in fact, gorgeous. I felt like a true princess.
I grabbed Jamie and gave him a great bear hug. Trying as I might not to kill him with happiness.
"Careful! You might mess up the mask! I placed it perfectly"
And indeed he did.

Before we even pulled up the driveway I could already tell it was going to be packed. The biggest meathead in all of Crighten High was hosting the biggest party of all time. He even reserved a country club for it.Of course Jamie and I had to sneak into this luxurious party because unfortunately, we were not invited.
Hey a little party crashing never hurt anyone.
Jamie pulled his car up to the very back of the club. We both stepped out of the car, Jamie silently locking it, and got our sneak modes on.
"Ready?"
"Ready." I confirmed.
"Perhaps ready will be our always?" Jamie asked.
"Ready!" We both cried.
I had to keep myself from bursting out with laughter over the most known reference ever, as we slipped into a small hole I found years ago in the fence.
I ducked, making sure everything as in its place we continued around back. After many missed directions and an encounter with a couple stray cats we found our way into the pool section of the party.
"Ok so the main festivities are being held in the ballroom, we just have to find a way to sneak past those guards." I whispered.
"Allow me." Jamie replied.
He strut up right too one of the guards and started screaming something about intruders and free illegal puppies being sold outside. The guards looked a little wary at first then decided to look once Jamie snapped his fingers.
Damn, bitch got guts.
