SLIGHT GORE WARNING

Idk I'm more used to gore and in some cases, encourage it. So there are multiple definitions of "slight" gore. Just skip this chapter if you're not a fan, I'life be doing a recap of what happened in the next chapter.

Barb dove through the portal just in time, the dragons snapping in frustration behind them. She laid Trollex down, who was only slightly awake. And shaking in terror. Everyone, including Amazon, was back in their troll form. And Trollex was in bad shape. His tail was half scorched, so he'd have trouble swimming and flying, no doubt. He was covered in cuts and bruises. His arms were all bloody and he had some bleeding cuts on his forehead. His blood was bright green, unlike the others'. Once he fully recovered and sat up, he was furious.

Trollex: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!

Barb: Me?! I just saved your-

Amazon: This fan fiction is clean. No language.

Barb:....BUTT.

Trollex: Yeah, but I saw you. Through the blood streaming down my face, I saw you. You saw me. Saw me mauled by the creature twice my size and didn't even think to help me! None of you did!

Poppy: Trollex, I'm sorry. We-we didn't know. We would've helped, but-

Trollex: No, I'm the one who's sorry. I shouldn't be taking this out on you guys. I should be taking it out on HER. *points at Barb*

Barb: Really? What about you? You could've fought back! But you didn't! Just like my world tour! PARTY PARTY PARTY OH NO THERE'S A PROBLEM DO NOTHING ABOUT IT!

There was silence. Trollex had a hurt expression, even if it was a little lopsided because of the injuries. He turned away from Barb, who was heaving with anger. She hadn't realized she called him out on something she didn't know about.

Trollex:...you don't know anything about me, then.

He floated off into the forest. Poppy started forward, but Delta held her back.

Delta: Let 'im, go. There are some emotions that needed to be treated carefully. And NOT with a musical.

So Poppy and the other trolls just stood there, watching as Trollex disappeared into the forest. Barb had calmed down. Once he was out of earshot, Amazon started to heave with anger.

Amazon: What. Is. WRONG WITH YOU?!

Barb: What?! Like I said, he should be able to take care of himself. He takes care of an entire tribe, and he can't deal with a little gore?

Branch: YES!

Barb: Oh what do you know?

Branch: More than you! You don't know it yet, but you've just called him out on the most traumatic experience he's ever had.

There was a moment of silence.

Tresillo: What are you talking about?

Branch: *sigh*.....me and Trollex are close friends. When we're not hanging out with friends, or taking care of royal duties or just regular duties, or partying...we're chatting in my bunker.

Barb: Chatting? 😒

Branch: Yes. Chatting. He tells me about the stressful times he's had during his reign and I do the same. Except that I'm not a king so...heh. Yeah. But I don't have the right to tell you, so.

Delta: Wow.

Poppy: Wait, so all those times you were cleaning out your bunker you were "chatting" with Trollex?
