Ok, so I'm just going to say this right off the bat: You can give me different ideas for each ending of this story. You decide who lives, who dies, who tells your story (I had to), anyway you decide if you want somebody to live, or die. If you want them to escape, or stay trapped forever. You can choose where you want this story to go. But either way it will always start with the same paragraph. One from Virgil's POV and one from Roman's POV.
Here's Virgil's paragraph; I sat there, staring out my window, wishing that I could go into the beyond, into the forbidden, into the mysterious. But I know if I do, I might die. If I don't die, I would come back, or if I don't leave, I would die. So what should I do? Should I go? Or should I stay? Should I break the rules? Or should I be a good obedient little rat? UGH! I hate making choices. Now my anxiety's starting to kick in. God damnit.
This is Roman's paragraph; I walked along the edge of the forest. Far enough in not to be seen, but close enough to see how things work there. How they live. How they laugh. How they love. How they are happy. I wonder what it would be like if I were to leave the forest, get a disguise of some sort, and live in the village among the humans. I would be able to experience so many things! But I also wouldn't be able to see my family. I could get caught and die. Or I could just simply stay and be safe for the most part. I'm done watching the humans for today.
Now to explain a bit. Virgil is the prince of a kingdom called Dziko Loletsedwa. It's also known as The Land of Forbidden. In his kingdom, there are many things that are forbidden. But most things are not as cruelly punished as the Forest Rule and the Capacity Rule. The Forest Rule is that you cannot speak of the Forest and you cannot go into the Forest unless you want to die. The Capacity Rule is a limit to how many people you can have living in your house and how many children you can have. There is a limit to about 7 people per house. You can only have 3 children. Those Rules are punished very harshly. The Forest Rule always ends in death. Even if you are able to come back. The Capacity Rule usually ends in adoption or death depending on how old the child is. The older the child is, the worse the punishment.
Roman is one of the 4 werewolves left in the forest. The forest is called La Arbaro de Vivo kaj Morto or The Forest of Life and Death. In the Forest there are many different species. There are Elves, Vampires, Leprechauns, half human Alicorns, half human Pegasi, half human Unicorns, Unicorns, Alicorns, Pegasi, and many more magical creatures. Their community has one unspoken Rule that everybody just knows, but never speaks. The Unspoken Rule. This Rule is to never go into the villages. If you go into a village and return, you are shunned from everybody, and are banned from the tribes, packs, and everything. You are all alone.
The humans and the magical beings have been at war for 20 years. Humans and magical beings aren't supposed to interact. That's why the punishments for going into the forest/village are so large. Any contact with the other kind is forbidden.
I think that's it for the explanations and brief overviews. If you have any questions, go ahead and comment them! I will answer them.
