oh it's my alarm

i groan as i got up quickly looking at the time
8:25 am
i only got 5 minutes to get ready for school .. great
"skylar!"
great..again
"yeah mom!"
"are you ready darling?"
i roll my eyes mentally
"yeah just give me a minute!"
should be enough time to wash my face and get changed
half awake walking to the bathroom i turn on the light
not adjusting to the brightness
8:35 pm
rushing down the stairs looking at my mom who was waiting patiently for me
"hey mom" i smile at her
"hey darling took you long enough" she teases
"hey! i didn't take that long" i mumbled rolling my eyes
she laughs
"just joking around my girl, you ready to go?"
god how i dread to go to school..
"yeah mom" i flashed a quick smile before following her to the car
on the way to school
"so how is everything going? with school, friends and kyle?"
i thought for a good minute
"i mean everything isn't too bad, my friends have been acting weird for an odd reason and so is kyle. but other than that nothing bad is happening, kyle is texting me goodnight and "i love you" every now and then. school is so boring now that mr. steven left" i told her with a sigh
"you liked mr. steven as a teacher huh?"
"yeah he was a good teacher, like a bestfriend to me but he got a good job back in his hometown so he took it" i said sadly
"he didn't say bye? at all?" she said concerned
"no no no!" i quickly said
"we had lunch and he gave me money to spend for lunch or anything. we talked for abit and had some good laughs" i smiled at the memories
"i always keep the money in my piggy bank, for memories. i can't bring myself to spend it, he was my bestfriend" i said
"wow he sounds like a good guy" my mom said amazed by how much i spoke about someone
"yeah" i chuckled
"hm...oh look we are here!" my mom said as she parked into the school
my mom works at the school i'm at, she's the principal so it makes sense on why i go here
mom and i walk out of the car going into the school
waving our goodbyes i go to my locker getting ready for first period
"hey skylar!" i heard in the distance
