When you think about how combat vehicles and guns have changed during the years many didn't existed back then, but there was a war that changed warfare forever and this was World War One one of the most devastation war in human history.France, December of 1918.
I was lying in a hospital bed hearing music fro a radio and I started to remember my childhood and the house were I lived at but then I started to have this thoughts that people will hurt my family because of our skin color ( the Harlem hellfighets were the first colored divino that serve during the war and fought along side the French because the segregation in the U.S army was very strict) but I'm think in bringing my family here if I can...........I started to hear gunfire, explosions and screams and I'm stated to panic y felt a hand touching and I snapped I was on the ground of of my friends helped me get up, and in that moment I saw hell in earth brutal close range fight soldier fighting with there bayonets others with shoves and some of the with rocks and there bear hands to fight and start thinking to my self if I was going to make it out alive.
See only through 0:00 to 1:10.
This is story is based on events that happened 106 years ago.
More than 60 million soldiers fought in "The war to end all wars"
It ended nothing.
Yet it changed the world forever.
What follows is frontline combat.
Many are not expected to survive."We are surrounded, we have to hold the line!" One soldier yelled ''we got to a hold this position! Get ready to shoot "we they come! Hold your ground!" he yelled ,about 10 minutes of holding the line the Germans call an artillery strike killing soldiers and me ( Marcus Oswald 1890-1918)
We came from all over the world, so many of us thought this war was going to be a ride passage, our great adventure, but let me tell you something:
It wasn't!.My Platón is protecting a church. I got to the machine gun and I saw a flamethrower one soldier killed him but in our trenches there were German running to get to our base. I had to put a stop to it "airships incoming!" Someone yelled but I was distracted by the german"Incoming!" a grenade exploded in front of me but i lived i grabbed a shotgun close to me and i heard someone screaming" Cover the windows!" there germans got to the church we have to fight back but the i smell gas then i saw a frametropper we didn't know what to do so we decided to shoot the gas barrel one of us hit it but the barrel explode we die because of the exploration ( Thomas Dawson 1900-1918)
New killing machines like tanks change the turning point on the battlefield luckily most of them were ours most of them.
Now entering a tank our job was to help the soldiers take out the enemy "Our boys are being surrounded in the church we have to move!" "lets go driver" as the tank move then we got to the church "grab the machine gun shot them" they yell then we started moving as we go to an open field one of our tank exploded " the field gun has destroy the tank we are a big target for that think" "move up driver" as we go through a house, then we got a clear shot, we shot the field gun as we move the German call an artillery strike the tank was destroyed with me inside
( John Anderson 1902-1918)They said that every is equal in nature but in war the only thing that makes us equal it's dead.
Now on The trenches the German throw mustard gas at us so we put our mask on but the thing is that is difficult to aim at the target so we took out our melee weapons (quick fact: trench weapons were made by a stick with nails on the top) and we went on a squad rampage but the airship was on top of us, but someone yelled "the airship is falling" but it was to late the airship fell on top of us ( Andrew Thompson 1898-1918)
So there I was fighting to protect the objective but German hit me with a shovel he was about to kill me but the artillery came. I was knocked out because of the blast, when I stand up the only thing that I was able to see was fog, fire and corpses, I looked around and I was the only one who survived but through the fog I saw a German soldier and he saw me too we both aimed our rifles to each other, but no one didn't want to pulled the trigger we both lowered our weapons and we saw the distraction of war, we both followed our ways to our camps hoping if someone survive the shelling.
They push, we push, every once in a while we push hard enough that the lights breaks through the clouds, in a world beyond the war and is just out of reach. The world is the war and the war it's the world, but behind every gun sight is a human being, we are those people, and we all know defeat is in dead but until that day comes , WE WILL STAND, WE WILL LOOK DEAD IN THE EYES AND WE WILL FIGHT!!!.
The end.
