I stood on the balcony watching as the sun went up and illuminated the sky with it's bright light it was almost as if thousands of angels were staring down at me although I had lost all my hopes of going to heaven I at least hoped I wouldn't see darkness for all of eternity.

I felt a wave of breeze hit my face which caused me to shiver slightly. I hugged my robe closed as I walked back inside the penthouse. It was around 6:45 am and I wasn't even tired the whole night all I could think about was what I was gonna do with my life after all this was over because believe it or not this isn't something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

I sat on the edge of my bed deep in thought 32 men that's how much men have lost both their money and heart to 32 and I've tried so hard to feel some type of emotion towards them hell even pity but I just couldn't bring myself to do that because truth be told all the men I have conned are pigs, from harassing  young women to manipulating them into sleeping with them they were all pathetic in my eyes.

I tried dating to maybe stop me from this addiction I was feeling but it all backfired on me turns out he was cheating on me with his assistant which then again proves my point; men are pigs.

Bella on the other hand was actually able to do something with her life, she finished college and got a job in New York as a fashion artist eventually she fell in love with a guy named Chris and got married but I don't want love, love to me was a word that made me sick to my stomach love just isn't for me I craved for excitement I loved the feeling of adrenaline rushing through my veins it was a feeling I couldn't describe it was like my ecstasy.

I moved from L.A to New York the city where dreams came true; or so I thought.

The ding of an elevator caused me to sit up, what the actual fuck. "Melanie!" A voice shouted I quickly ran downstairs and Saw Bella holding a magazine, I furrowed my eyebrows "what?" I asked she threw the magazine at me I caught it and schemed through the pages "look at the header you idiot" Bella rolled her eyes.

I squealed in excitement and engulfed her in a hug this was a big deal! "holy shit bels congrats!" She jumped up and down like a little kid "Mel, I wanna thank you for being there for me along the way you invested in my company and actually believed in me thank you so much" she cried but she didn't really need to thank me all I did was invest a couple of thousands she did the rest by herself she made it happen: not me.

"This calls for a celebration!" I ran to my kitchen and got the wine from my counter I poured it into two glasses, I handed her one but she was quick to deny it "Mel,  I'm pregnant remember?" My mouth formed a 'o' shape as I stared at her "sucks to suck" I joked causing her to roll her eyes.

"So about Shawn Mendes who exactly is he?" I asked out of curiosity. Bella sat down on the couch "he's a pretty big deal he owns countless of companies all around the world, he's one of the youngest billionaires" she explained i bit my lip "is he married?" I asked she shook her head "nah, why the questio- Melanie you aren't possibly thinking in conning him are you?" she asked I smirked "don't be silly of course that's exactly what I'm thinking" She stood up "Melanie you promised me you would stop!" I rolled my eyes "I did but I didn't tell you when I would stop" She sighed "Melanie please" she gave me soft look "I promise you this will be my last con after that I'll finish college and do something with my life" She nodded "Okay fine, I'll tell
You everything about him but after this no more conning" I simply nodded "I promise" I smiled she grabbed her purse from the couch and started heading towards the elevator "he's usually at the Deluxe Club last time i heard he was supposed to be there tonight" Bella got in the elevator "Thanks!!"  and just like that she was gone and my planning had began.
