Husband and Wife
20:37 pm
"I'm sorry" Hannah apologized to her husband of three months one week and four days.
"I don't know why you keep apologizing when you don't mean it" her husband Bradley answered with a scowl on his face. He quickly got up from the table tipping the chair he was sitting on over. He didn't wait to pick it up ,bit Hannah was not startled. She was used to it.
She quickly got up and picked up the chair and cleared the table before her husband found something to scream about.
These past three months has been the hardest in her life. She married a man she did not love, a man who was in love with her older sister. Now her sister barely talks to her because of it.
It wasn't her choice, she was forced into it and she couldn't do anything about it. And now this was her life, of being yelled at for anything she does, her husband easily gets annoyed just by her presence.
Meanwhile Bradley was looking at the picture of the love of his life, Kathy. She was a beautiful woman, not as beautiful as her younger sister but beautiful nevertheless. He fell in love with everything about her. There were so different than her sister.
Even though he marely knows Hannah. The women seem so different. He can't seem to get past the fact that he was cheated. Cheated out of his life. They had planned a life together. They were going to be happy and then Hannah and her parents ruined everything.
Kathy was smiling in the picture, beautiful brown eyes, long light brown hair, Bradley used to call her mouse. She was uptight, she was a strict woman and Bradley loved to torment her until she let lose. She was a confident woman, stands for what she believed in and Brad fell in love with her character. She was her own woman.
On the other hand Hannah looks like a pushover, well she definitely was otherwise she wouldn't have let her parents marry her off to her sisters boyfriend. She looked too soft and too dependent and Brad didn't find those qualities attractive in a woman.
On the other side of the country Kathy was being stubborn. She was not going to cry every night because her parents and her younger sister betrayed her. She has cried enough. Now it was time to find a solution. She had wallowed in self pity enough.
She has to figure out a way to get back the love of her life and hurt her sister and her parents in the process. Yes her sister had no choice but there is always a choice. She should've known better. She should've run away or just plain refused. Yet she chose to hurt her.
Well, if she thought she Kathy was going to forget about it, she had another thing coming. She had never thought she was ever going to fall in love but then at 26 Bradley James walked in her life and changed her, in a good way.
He was funny and witty and very handsome. She had never laud eyes on a more gorgeous face all her life and her sister agreed with her. They were not close as most sisters but they had not been enemies either.
They talked whenever they could. They didn't have much in common, but they tried but everything is now irrelevant. Hannah had betrayed her trust and it could never be restored.
She was going to be Mrs Brad James, wife of one of the most richest men in the country. She knew she was perfect for him, he needed someone to stand by his side, someone with a backbone.
Unlike her sister who cowers even when greeted by a new face. Kathy tossed and turned in her bed, unable to catch some sleep.
Same as Hannah who laid in bed glaring at the ceiling. She was lonely. Her husband yelled at her every chance he gets. She don't talk to her parents after they forced her to marry this ruthless man. Her sister ,her sister is another story, she knew she was never going to talk to her again.
She knew her sister very well, she was not a forgiving person and even though it wasn't Hannah's fault, she knew Kathy would hold a grudge to her grave. She had no friends in this side of the country. She was alone and sometimes she thought about what it would be like to just cut herself and lay there and breathe until she stops.
The idea was tempting most of the time, she couldn't handle being alone all the time. In the 21 years of her life, she always had friends.
She didn't want to start to think about that,so she willed herself to think of the good times until she falls asleep.
Hie there. Again, I just thought if this when I saw a wedding picture and the story popped into my head.
I've always admired people who write in 3rd person, I could never do it. It seems so hard.
But I wanted to give it a try.
So don't hesitate to tell me what you think and give suggestions on my writing skills. I'll appreciate it.
Thank you!!
