When Nightstar first came, she chose the part of the forest which has mostly pine trees, because her birth Clan was ShadowClan. Although, there is an occasional willow, and near the MoonClan border there are a few oak trees. There is one particular willow which is very large, so NightClan calls it the Great Willow. Cats older than 10 moons are allowed to use the Great Willow for climbing practice. Another landmark in NightClan is Pinecone place. This is a clearing which apprentices use for batte training. There are many pinecones there, which is why it's called Pinecone Place.
