Chapter 12- Handkerchief

When Milliana got home, Ana her maid greeted her, they moved to the town house the Duke owned in the capital as soon as it's renovation was done

it is located near the dorm she stayed at when she arrived where mostly Northerns lived

The part of the Capital they lived in was a little far from the School and a place far from many

They are afraid that the Northerns would cause trouble and their magic would run wild so in the part of the Capital they lived in is peaceful and quiet and mostly where Northerns lived and the other ones who are not Northerns are the poor commoners who doesn't have a choice but to stay near them

"Ana can you wash this handkerchief for me ?" She then handed it to her maid

"Who's is it from Miss? I believe that you don't own any like this" Her maid asked

Milliana looked at Ana her maid and smiled "Shai gave it to me and I want to return it to her"

"Did something happen Miss? Did you lose yours?"

Milliana denied and told her maid that she will tell her later after dinner

Then the maid prepared her dinner and washed the handkerchief

After taking a bath and preparing for herself to bed,her maid knocked to check on her

They talked about how things went through the day

Milliana told her everything about how she cried that day and how she skipped school and joined Shai

Her maid Ana quietly listened to her

Milliana fully trusted Ana because like in her past Ana silently protected her and lost her life because of her saving Millie

Milliana then asked her maid about how she spends her days in this house with her alone then Ana paused for a moment then looked away and Millie thought it was suspicious of her

She then confronted Ana if her Dad asked her to guard her secretly but Ana denied

Ana is a maid but before she was one she was trained by the Duke's Elite knights

That is why the Duke was confident in sending his daughter away with only a maid

Millie then told her why not join the guild so that they would be together and then Millie found out that she already did

She was shocked by how Ana her maid capabilities

Her magic is Lightning, she was born and grew up in the North and she was a Baron's daughter but they are not wealthy so she chose to work for the Duke and her ability passed the Elite knights of the Duke and she was selected

Milliana wondered if she was also one in her first life as Milliana but because she did not opened up much to Ana before she didn't know

They grew up together but she did not noticed, Ana is 3yrs older than her and she was stronger than she looks

Ana's magic lightning makes her moves fast in a flash and she can also electrocute someone she touches, in short it was like a taser the thing that is used for protection in my life as Milly the one where I read about my life in the past.

although it was not as strong as the others with lightning magic she relies on her skills in combat and make use of her fast movement. She will be a great assassin.

The two did not talked for too long as Milliana is already sleepy and she has school for tomorrow.

Milliana's POV

I was on my way to school when I saw my friends arrived at the gate so I called on to them.

"Good morning!" I greeted them and they greeted me back

We were walking together

It was about an hour before class starts and students are arriving

Far from the school gate we walk pass by the fountain, paused for a moment and saw that the student's are greeting a certain person

You can see the huge smile shown on their faces and their eyes glistening, you can even hear the girls giving praises to the guy and can see that they wanted to caught the attention of that person

He walked passed by the crowd giving them a polite smile

That smile as shining as ever, he greeted each one of those who call out to him with that smile

He looked on our way and began walking towards us.

I can feel my heart beating fast. Calm down Millie you will never like him in this life. You know what happened in the past so calm down heart.

Sigh

As soon as he comes close we bowed our heads and greeted him.

"Greetings your highness"

"Good Morning," he replied then we raised our heads

We waited for him to go first but he just stood still as if thinking of what to say

I looked at him questioningly because I don't know if he needed something

He was about to say something when his friend the son of the captain of the knights tap his shoulders and whispered something to him.

He then nodded his head and gave us a polite smile then left

I looked at my friend and they also have a confused look

"Did you guys have anything to do with the Prince ?" I asked

"Weird, this is the first time I encounter him this close " Indie replied

Shai nodded

"He was about to say something but I'm glad he didn't, I got a feeling that we shouldn't involve ourselves with him." Lily said quietly that us three would hear

I agree in this life I will not let myself fell for him again and die early

I then remembered the handkerchief that Shai gave me and before we part ways I stopped her and handed her the Handkerchief in my hand

"Thank you for this" but when I looked at her she denied that it was hers and told me that she just picked it up and that she thought it was mine because she saw me crying and the handkerchief is near me and thought that I dropped it.

Weird

So who's is it

I just put the handkerchief back on my pocket then went to my class

The three of them are in the same class and I am in the same class with the heroine of the book, Racquel and the Prince.

I was wondering why she was the heroine in the book when in the past I don't remember her even her name.

So maybe she was one of those girls that the Prince helped in the past. He was kind and heroic in the eyes of many, always there to helped a person in need.

I glanced at the Prince and

GASP

our eyes met, I quickly removed my sight off him and glanced outside the window

My face starts to burn up, I think my face turns red from embarrassment

My heart couldn't stop beating fast

I hope that the Prince would think of nothing about this. It was not my intention to looked his way when I thought of him.
