Chapter Six

~ around three months later ~

It is crazy that it's already been 3 months since I moved to Forks. Bella and I have grown closer over the past two months. She's been talking to me about her liking to Edward. I thought it was super cute; anytime she talks about him her face always lights up. Sometimes her crush on him was like watching a romance movie.

It was sometimes like the movie you love or it was something super cringe and gross. But most of the time it was adorable even though Edward does seem a little weird. Although, after Edward left she hasn't left her house at all. When she did go to school; she didn't talk to anyone and sat alone at lunch.

Today, I was going to Port Angeles with Bella, Mike, & Jacob to see this action movie. My outfit was just a simple red colored hoodie, black leggings, and a pair of white sneakers.

The title of the movie is totally stupid but if it gets Bella out of the house then I'll deal with it. Once we got there three of us waited for Bella who was buying her and Jacobs ticket.

Since he was under the age limit since the movie we were going to see happened to for the ages 18+.We grabbed some popcorn to eat and went to find seats close to the screen. I sat on the burnished red cushion chair beside Jacob with Bella in between him and Mike.

As the movie progressed the sounds of screaming got louder along with the bloody bodies on the screen. "I think I'm gonna be sick-" Mike bolted from his seat and out the door.

Soon after the movie was over and everyone left the room. We were waiting outside by the stairs for Mike who was in the bathroom. My back leaned against the cold marbled wall while sitting on the cold tile floor by the bottom step of the stairs.

My thoughts started to wonder off to Emmett. Where did he go and what's he up to? Why did the Cullen family leave town so suddenly? I don't know why but I honestly miss seeing him in class.

Not like anything was going on between us, but he always spoke to me everyday when I walked into the class. But of course all I did was give a shy nod even if I wanted to speak to him. He made me nervous and I didn't want to say anything dumb.

So I just didn't speak at all

The corners of my mouth perked at the thought his cute little hi's and bye's at school. Then his smile came into my thoughts and noticed how perfect his smile is. "What are you smiling about Emberly?" Snapped out of my mind, I saw Bella looking at me with furrowed brows.

"Oh, I- It's nothing." I tried to play it off. I didn't know I was full on smiling until she brought me out of my trance. Then just like that Mike appears and puts all of the attention to him. As Jacob started to get annoyed with Mike I jumped up onto my feet.

"Jacob the movie is over stop." Bella quickly spoke. I rolled my eyes at the two boys. I decided to have us leave back to Forks before Jacob decides to throw an actual punch at Mikes face. Jacob slammed the old door of Bella's red truck.

After we were all in; she drove off.

Once Bella dropped Mike and Jacob off, I moved into the passenger seat which was warm from Jacob who sat there earlier. "So, what were you thinking about earlier?" Bella asked curiously.

My head turned from looking out the window to face her, "I don't know what you mean." I really didn't want to bring it up, especially after what Edward did to her. She sighed and questioned without thought, "Were you thinking about Ross?" God no. I guess I forgot to mention that we broke up the other day.

"Ah- no. We um..actually broke up yesterday." I looked back out the window avoiding her pressing stare. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know." I looked away not wanting to face her.

"I know..I forgot to tell you sorry." Honestly, I wasn't extremely sorry about not telling her. I mean how could I tell her I kind of like Emmett? When she literally was with his brother who left without a word or even tell her where he went. Her pain was worse than mine; I rarely talked to Emmett anyways.

"I understand, but what were you thinking of?" Why is she so curious? It unsettled me that she kept pressing on this. "It's nothing important." I responded quickly wanting her to drop the subject. Bella would get pissed if she knew what I was thinking about.

Like I can't just say, oh just thinking about Emmett who is your boyfriends brother. "It's not nothing-" I was quick to cut her off, "Bella, really it's nothing so stop asking." I could basically feel her breathing hitch after I snapped at her. Never would I have thought I'd talk to someone that way.

"Bella listen, it's just- not something worth talking about." I chose my words carefully not wanting to upset her further. "Okay, if you say so.." She mumbled the last part of her sentence and before I knew it we were outside my house.

My eyes wandered over to the jeep that was now parked in my driveway. Bella unlocked the door and I got out, pulling my small purse with me. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the vehicle sitting outside my house.

It was his; he was back in Forks and at my house. I turned towards the window that Bella had rolled down and spoke, "I'll see you Monday."

She nodded while eyeing the jeep in my driveway. Long before she could even say anything else I was already making my way to the door.

I heard her loud engine becoming less quiet as she drove off from my home. Shakily, I was pulling out my keys and unlocked the gold polished knob of the rustic wooden door.

Before I could shut my door after getting inside, a foot halted it from closing further. My hands let go of the door and he emerged from the other side of the door. "Emmett?"
