Soon, we pulled up to the beach. The truck came to a stop as Bella turned off the engine. I looked around seeing small waves washing up onto the shore. The sand wasn't the typical white color, it was more of a light dirt brown.

I slipped off my black sandals so I didn't get sand in them. Sand honestly annoyed me a lot, when it gets stuck in your toes or gets all in your hair. That feeling really annoyed me, but that annoys every person.

At least I wouldn't be laying down on a towel to absorb some sun on my skin. But there wasn't any sun to absorb here, rarely ever. It's not like that bothered me though, I got enough before moving to Forks.

Italy had a lot of sun and just walking outside, you could get a lot of sun. Yet, I'm shocked that I haven't turned pale like most people who have moved to Forks.

Bella was from Arizona and I was shocked to hear that she was pale, when she lived there. After we found a spot to sit, Jacob put down a big blanket down on the sand. I let them sit down first before positioning myself on the nearby log, that was by the spot.

"Aye Jake!" His head turned towards the two boys walking our way. But I didn't feel like talking to new people at the moment. So I slowly put in my earphones and started to play music tuning them out.

Which didn't work because Bella came and took one of the buds from my ear. "Coming here, means that you will socialize too." I looked at her in all seriousness. "No, it meant I'd come not talk to strangers."

She huffed looking away a moment and returned her eyes on me. "They are friends with Jake. Please just try to not to become like me, only talking to a few select people isn't good." She paused, "I would know."

I knew she was right, but I didn't really want to chat with boys that were like sixteen. I could talk to Jacob because he seemed mature for his age, those two though, honestly didn't. "Bella, I just don't feel like it right now." I looked towards the water.

She sighed in defeat and went to sit back down by Jacob. Then I placed the bud back into my ear. I stood up and walked towards the water. It hit my feet and I shuddered a bit from the coldness.

Couldn't the water at least be warm if the weather is going to be cold and gloomy? That's a stupid wish to have. My aunt didn't warn me that the weather was basically like a gloom fest everyday. You'd think Forks was always under clouds.

I started walking along the water line while looking down at my bare feet. Next thing I knew, my body was knocked down into the water. Just great, and my shirt was white and you could now see my bra.

"Jared!" A man with tan olive skin started to run over to where I sat in the water. There was another person standing in front of me with a ball."Sorry, girl." He ran off not even bothering to help me up. I placed my hand into the wet sand to help myself up.

Now there would definitely be sand in all the places I didn't want it to be. I started to walk towards Bella and Jacob, trying not to show the anger I felt inside me. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves.

A hand grabbed onto my wrist stopping me in my tracks. I glanced over my shoulder and wow he was incredibly handsome. "Can you let go of me?" His grip was strong even if he didn't mean to grab my wrist that hard.

He released my wrist from his hold, as he was about to speak I walked off out of earshot. Jacob was staring at me and then to the man who grabbed my wrist.

"What?" I accidentally snapped at him. My anger was being pent up because that Jared guy not only knocked me into the water, but also didn't offer to help me up. I closed my eyes for a moment before speaking again, "Sorry." He nodded understanding why I was pissed.

"Sorry about Jared." One of Jacobs friends spoke up. I just slightly nodded my head and sat back down on the log. "Em, that's Embry and that's Quil." Bella introduced them.

I just simply introduced myself being straight forward and right to the point, "Emberly." I lift my hand up with a slight wave. My arms were crossed around my chest in attempt to cover my now see-through shirt.

Feeling a bit uncomfortable, "Bella do you have any shirts in the truck?" She looked up and shook her head but took her jacket off and handed it over to me. "Thanks." I zipped the jacket up, no longer needing to cross my arms.

Embry hopped up beside me on the log, making the log shake a bit in the process. And placed an arm over my shoulder, holy shit he felt like he was a living and breathing fire.

I shifted uncomfortably, too much touching for my liking. My body started to lean away from him. Even is his body temperature was immensely warm, I didn't like him this close.

"Embry, she's not really big on the whole close contact thing." Bella said, noticing my discomfort. I looked at her in thanks as Embry removed his arm. "Sorry." He said, afraid that he made me mad.

"It's fine, you didn't know." His body sagged in relief. "But hey our names are pretty similar!" He said excitedly; he wasn't wrong but was there a need to point it out? I mean being overly excited about having similar names.

I nodded my head in response when Quil spoke, "She's not a big people person is she?" Jacob and Bella both nodded and answered at the same exact time, "That's correct." I swear they are almost like a married couple...
