Gabriel
Gabriel closed the door behind him as he left the drawing room, Delta stood to the side looking at him with her brows drawn together. All he could do was pinch the bridge of his nose and turn towards his wing of the castle. All he wanted was maybe an hour or two of sleep before he had to face his parents with the decision that he'd just made without talking to them first. Which, he knew, wasn't going to go well at all.
On his way down the hallway he stopped and cracked the door to Nyline's rooms, already knowing that she should be inside.
"Lady Nyline I insist, your arm looks as though it might need stitches. Please let me look at it." Omega was saying.
"I'm fine," Nyline said on a sigh, he could feel her annoyance through the bond. "It doesn't need stitches."
"At least let me clean the wound and put some bandages on it." Gabriel cracked the door just a little more to see Nyline looking down at her arm as she pulled some of the scabs off, and flicked them away.
"Oh, it'll be fine." Nyline scoffed putting her arm down and looking at Omega who was standing a few feet away with a medic's kit in her hands; her brows drawn together. Pallsana was sitting on one of the couches, looking over the back at the two as they argued.
"Lady Nyline, I insist." Omega tried again and Nyline rolled her eyes right as Gabriel closed the door softly. At least something was working out with Nyline being here. He mused on it as he walked towards his room. He was planning on taking a nap for an hour, maybe two before finding his parents and talking to them about Damien.
Opening his door his face fell as he saw his father sitting on one of the couches, his long legs extended, head resting back as he examined the ceiling. The rest of his scouts were all missing, which meant they were all hiding in their rooms. He closed the door and looked at his father, suddenly feeling as though he needed to sleep for a week.
"Gabriel," His father spoke without looking at him. "What did the prince of Dunhule want." Gabriel sighed.
"Can I get some sleep and we can all talk about this in a couple of hours." he grumbled.
"I think it would be best to talk about this now. What did he want?" Gabriel eyed his father for a few seconds before he nodded to Delta, who walked over to her and Janti's room, closing the door behind her. Then, he walked over to one of the large poofs and flopped onto it, his eyes up at the ceiling and not on his father. "What did he want?" His father growled again as Gabriel tried to come up with the best way to answer his question that would end in the least amount of arguing.
"Um, well," He swallowed before he sighed. "He saw the guard in the garden change from a darkling to a human."
"You took his memory, right?" Gabriel didn't answer. "Gabriel." His father growled and when he continued to not answer he heard his father stand and come to loom over him. "Gabriel." His father's voice was harsh, and Gabriel sighed sitting up so that he could look his father in the eyes.
"No, I didn't." His father's face scrunched up and Gabriel watched as his face contorted up even more, before he could see his father forcing his face back into a calm expression, pushing his shift back.
"Gabriel, we've spoken about this several times."
"I'm aware, but I still don't see eye to eye with you on it." He stood so that they were roughly the same height. "We need more allies outside of Vaccoon--"
"That is not your decision to make." His father spoke in a tight controlled voice that told Gabriel that he was beyond pissed.
"Dad, don't you want our people to be able to experience the world? To travel? To trade with other countries. Don't our people deserve more than what we're giving them?" His father blew out a long breath.
