Tamepeak Town
8:34 AM.
Morning had arrived, seemingly quicker than expected. And with everyone getting up & preparing themselves for the day, the sheriff of the town was still asleep. Along with some other residents of the town. Mostly because of his midnight patrols. He was in his bed, having on purple pajamas. Patterned with stars. This is extremely embarrassing for a grown man in his late twenties to wear, but that's okay! Because nobody will ever know...
Anyhow, as he was subconsciously enjoying his slumber, a sudden bang came from the door. Multiple of them, to be precise. All at once.
Because of this, the Sheriff immediately woke up, Alarmed. Throwing himself off the bed and onto the wooden floor. Mumbling & grumbling, he slowly got up. Forcibly readying himself for the day. Quickly brushing his teeth, fixing his hygiene, and putting on his usual outfit.
First, a yellow shirt and brown pants. Nothing special. Then, a white cowboy hat. Outlined by a brown so shiny one can easily mistake it for bronze. with a tiny, platinum skull attached to the front of it.
Next, his white vest. Outlined with the same, shiny bronze as before. Having two pockets, one at each side. Great space for holstering guns in. And other, small miscellaneous items.
And finally, his standard black boots. And Apex did all of in a hasty fashion, still tired. Just a few more steps to the doorknob, and. .turn.
Huzzah! He didn't trip and fall asleep like last time!
Now, all he needs to do is open the door, greet the person on the other side, and not sound like an asshole.
"...What is it this time?"
Eh. Close enough.
The person on the other side of the door, was a civilian. Being a male, seemingly in his teenage years. And a bit shy & nervous.
"Y-you're the sheriff, right?"The stranger was wearing a black shirt and black pants. With a blue hat and boots. And a black scarf. An odd color combination, but who is he to judge?
Oh, right. He's the sheriff. Why does he keep forgetting that?
"I am. . .is something the matter?"
". . ."
The kid didn't respond for a moment, which made things a bit awkward. Until he slowly brought up a book.
"Can you write your name in this. . .p-please?"
"Sign it!?" Apex immediately replied. "Why in tarnation would I write my name in some random kid's--"
Apex cut himself off. This person was a kid. There was no reason to go off him like that. ". . .Sure. Just give me a moment. Will 'ya?" and with that sentence, he went back into his house to get one of his writing utensils. And soon came to the door, pen in hand.
"Where do you want me to write?"
He asked, with the boy opening the book and flipping a few pages. Before showing him a blank page. "Here, please."
