(This is the epilogue from Sanders just reuploaded for timeline)

"So..." Virgil looked around the table at everyone and smiled. It was a sad one but still, at least he was smiling. "We won." Remy looked over at Emile and smiled back at him. "So I guess... I completed the promise?"

"Yeah, you did Virgil." Virgil's smile got a bit brighter before looking over at Roman who was just staring back at the house. Thomas hasn't left the room we gave him since that day. That whole scene... it was enough to break anyone's heart. He's grieving... even if he knew it had to be done. Remy sighed and as the eldest Vampire looked over to see him getting ready to leave. Virgil shot him this look and he just laughed as Emile got up to join him. "I'm Death, Virgil. And now that the contract is complete... I'm not needed. I have a lot of work waiting for me."

"We have to go home now." Emile added before giving me this bright smile. "Tell Patton, I enjoyed his company?"

"I will." Remy smiled as he looked over at Emile with this look that literally could melt ay icy heart. It was clear he loved him.

"Let go home, huh hun?" Emile nodded and suddenly there was this flash. Virgil had to shield his eyes against it but when it died down he could see they were gone.

"So, I guess that's it huh?" He glanced over at Roman with this confused look as the younger laughed. "The 'Rebels'... they were the last to leave. The war is over. "

"Maybe..." Roman shrugged as he took a sip from his glass.

"Well, think about it this way... Remy and Emile went back to... where ever they're from. Nathan left to go hunt down his brother to, and I quote, 'kick his ass for siding with Aemilia'. And Logan has finally gone back to Patton who was beside himself with worry." Virgil looked up to see him giving him a look that could rival the one Remy gave Emile and VIrgil smiled. "But the best thing by far... You came back to me."

"The best thing?" He nodded and Virgil scrunched his face in mocked thought. "Really? The best thing was me coming back?" He nodded again this time more urgently and Virgil just shrugged. "I don't know I don't see it." He narrowed his eyes as Virgil walked over wrapping his leg around him till he was sitting on his lap facing him. His face was beet red... almost matching his glowing eyes as Virgil leaned in. Virgil ran my fingers through Roman's hair before whispering in his ear. "I think... the best this by far was this." Roman narrowed his eyes in confusion just before he pressed his lips onto his. It barely took him a second to register what was happening before he pulled Virgil in tighter never breaking the kiss. When they finally did his face was even redder if that was possible.

"Y-Yeah... I'd have to agree." Virgil just smiled laughing at how cute he was. They just sat like that for a few minutes as Roman played with his hair before he noticed the younger had started to stare back at the house again. "I'm worried about him."

"I know." Virgil rested his head against the other's chest as Roman sighed sadly. "He's grieving. Funny... I actually never thought I would see him again. I never thought I would see either of them again." He pulled away as he looked back at the house smiling sadly. "I'm glad I did to honest. But now... He doesn't have anyone. He's just... alone."

"You know... There is a way to fix it." Virgil looked back over at Roman in confusion and the younger laughed.

"Oh, really?" He nodded and Virgil rolled my eyes. "And how, per se, are we to do that?"

"Well... now that you've officially titled me as your partner..."

"I think the word you're looking for is 'boyfriend'." Roman only respond with a glare making Virgil laugh.

"...I don't necessarily need that guest room anymore, do I?" Virgil scoffed playfully as Roman leaned in a bit.

"And where, perchance, would you sleep instead?" He smiled deviously as the distance closed between them a little more.

"With you." Roman whispered with a soft breath as Virgil laughed leaning even more.

"Smooth." Virgil coo'd and melted in the slight chuckle the younger practically breathed out as they got so close their noses were touching. "And how would that help Thomas?"

"Well, he's practically family. After all, he did turn you." Virgil nodded as he wrapped his arms around him and Roman laughed again. "And that room would be free?"

"Are you suggesting we give him your room?" He got this bright loving smile that Virgil just melted into.

"Well it wouldn't be my room anymore, would it?" The elder just chuckled as Roman leaned in close to his ear. "Besides... My place will always be by your side." Virgil pushed him away with tears in his eyes as Roman's eyes went wide. "Virgil..."

"Asshole. You can't just say sappy things like that... It's like you want me to fall in love with you all over again." The shock on his face... It didn't do justice to love and desire that swirled around them both. Virgil could feel how much Roman loved me. And he knew, Roman could feel how much he loved him. They didn't have to say it. It was there... that ever-present hum in the back of their minds that warmed their heart and told it to beat at the same rhythm. They were just locked in each other eyes. So lost in each other...

They never saw the arrow.

Virgil fell back gasping in pain as Roman freaked out. The elder looked down to see a silver arrow lodged in his chest. He groaned out a laugh as Roman pulled it out. Roman tore his shirt and used it to stop the bleeding. Virgil just could help but laugh.

"Thank god immortality, huh?" He choked out making Roman shoot him this look. "Heh... You knew it's funny."

"Not the time, babe." He glance over at the arrow laid beside him and his blood went cold. He knew that arrow. He's used that arrow. Back before Patton. Back when he worked as a hunter. Back when he was with the...
