3RD POV

Lyra woke up the next day in a funk. The girl couldn't believe her father would do that, even to her. The one thing she did know is that she needed to talk to Luna. Even if her father said it wasn't allowed anymore. Her sister deserved to know.

She had tears in her eyes even walking down to breakfast. Lyra Lovegood didn't think she could take a whole 7 years without talking to her twin. She needed to talk to her. She will talk to her.

Lyra was in the great hall when Luna walked in.

The white haired girl immediately got up and, walk over to sit down with her sister. People started whispering it was uncommon for a Gryffindor to be walking over to sit with a Ravenclaw at breakfast. Most people thought it wasn't allowed.

None the less, Lyra walked over to her sister. Luna looked up from where she was sitting alone.

"Lyra what happened?" her sister asked worried.

"Father happened Lu." Lyra said almost to tears.

This worried Luna to no end her sister was not one to cry. Even when they were children she never split a tear. Yes, Luna has seen her cry before about their own father no less. Lyra had always been the strongest one in their family the Ravenclaw girl could see that. Lyra protected Luna from everything that their father had ever done, the girl had always made sure that Luna was untouched. That Luna will never be hit by their father, Lyra made sure to take his wrath away from Luna so that she could be in peace, so she wouldn't get hurt.

Luna had told her to stop this many of times before hand. The white haired girl promised herself not to let anything happen to Luna to protect her of course. Though it mostly ended up with Lyra getting beat up. She'd do it anyway because Luna is her twin sister. She would do anything for the girl but, that also meant she would lose sight of herself in the process forget to protect herself more than anyone. Though the white haired girl has walls put up around her heart. Her twin was the only one that could really read what she was thinking, though sometimes Ron did too.

"Ly what happened with father." Luna said "Here sit down." Luna then proceeded to pat the space next to her.

Lyra took the seat at the Ravenclaw table which led more people to whisper around them. The Gryffindor girl noticed that all of her friends were now staring at her. Seeing that something was wrong, though what worried them wasn't the atmosphere, it was Lyra's face. It was blank, there was no emotion that could be read in her eyes.

The white haired girl then handed Luna the letter that was from their father.

Luna read the letter in shock.

"T-this can't be happening." Luna said "N-no I refuse to believe it this is just some cruel joke right?"

Lyra then proceeded to stare off into space probably thinking of what to do. She thought that maybe they could come up with something, someway to change things. Someway to make it better for her and her twin sister. Someway to ridicule their father's demands of the two. Nothing came to her mind to prevent it though. Lyra knew that he would go to impossible lengths to keep Luna away from her.

"It's not a joke, Lu." Lyra said putting her face in her hands. "This is perfectly real and it's all my fault."

"What no!"

"Lu, if I wouldn't have gone to stupid Gryffindor then this wouldn't have happened we would still be together and, everything would be fine."

"Ly! Don't you dare say that! I could see it on your face you love it there!"

"Luna, you should hate me. I've destroyed our family, just by getting into bloody Gryffindor. What if I do something wrong? What happens then? The teachers will find out and, I'm not sure I'm ready for that ever actually."
