11 | Accidentally Marked

Mark was chilling in his room when Donghyuck invited Mark to try this restaurant with him. 

"Why?" Mark asked.

"U-uh, why not?" Donghyuck asked.

"You don't usually ask me out to a restaurant, usually bakeries and cafes," Mark spoke.

"I wanted to try something new... is that wrong?" Donghyuck asked.

"N-no... what time? send me the location," Mark stuttered a bit.

"Really? Yay!" Donghyuck said in excitement.

"Why are we at half place?" Mark asked.

"Why not? The reviews said it was good," Donghyuck said.

"Didn't you say that you don't like vampires? What's with the sudden change?" Mark asked suspiciously. 

"Why not? You are asking a lot of questions, hyung," Donghyuck replied, dragging him into the restaurant.

They ordered somethings, Mark liked it. It didn't upset his stomach.

"Come on, I want to show you this place," Donghyuck said after Mark paid for the nth time.

"What is it?" Mark asked.

"Wear this blindfold, I'll lead you there," Donghyuck said with a smile. Mark lifted an eyebrow, he didn't trust Haechan with him that much.

"F-fine, I guess," he said putting on the blindfold.

Mark could feel his heart racing as Donghyuck held his hand, fingers wrapped around the other. Yet, he still wondered why Donghyuck was acting weird lately.

"We're here," Donghyuck announced. Mark took off his blindfold and it had a beautiful view with a towel on the floor.

"I wanted to watch the stars at night and the sunset. Look," Donghyuck said, pointing at the sun.

"Yeah, it's pretty," Mark said.

They gazed at the stars till it got late, into the morning. 

"Mark, we should go home, I'm tired," Donghyuck said.

"Can I crash at your place?" Mark asked.

"Yeah, sure," Donghyuck said tiredly as he picked up their stuff, walking with him by his side.

The arrived at Donghyuck's dorm apartment, immediately going to bed. Both boys were tired. But, Mark was feeling a weird sensation in his body, he's been controlling it for a long, long time. You know how things work, if you keep something inside for too long, you'll eventually lose control.

"Mark? What's wrong?" Donghyuck asked, putting his hand on Mark's forehead and on his own.

"I.. should leave," Mark said.

"Why? It's too late, just stay," Donghyuck said. Mark looked hesitant with himself.

"Mark, it's 4 am, I'm not looking forward to you looking dead as hell, let's go to bed together," Donghyuck said, he grabbed Mark's hand, taking him back into Donghyuck's room.

"Now sleep," Donghyuck said, tucking Mark in with him on the same bed, just like when they were younger.

Donghyuck flinched at a pain, teeth sinking in on his skin. Donghyuck could tell it was Mark, I mean, he is the only vampire in the house. Covering his mouth, somehow it got painful. It made Donghyuck feel weak, then it stopped. 

Donghyuck took the time to do some research, after fixing himself with a bandage. 

Apprently, he was marked. Maybe it was an accident, since Mark could be half. Donghyuck changed into a new shirt and cleaned them up so they could sleep properly.

Mark woke up with his best friend cuddling next to him. It was 12 in the afternoon and Donghyuck was still sleeping peacefully. Something felt off, as if the temptation was gone.

"Donghyuck, get up," Mark mumbled. Donghyuck groaned, not wanting to wake up.

Mark tapped him on the shoulder, Donghyuck flinched at Mark's touch, immediately waking up. 

"What's wrong with your shoulder?" Mark asked concerned for the boy.

"N-no, it's nothing," Donghyuck said, Mark pushed Donghyuck back on the bed; pinning the boy down, pulling down the shirt sleeve. Donghyuck looked as if he was about to cry, such a helpless look on his face.

"What's this?" Mark asked.

"U-uh..." Donghyuck stammered.

"I'm not letting you go until you tell me," Mark said. Donghyuck shyly mumbled his answer, but Mark couldn't hear.

"Hyuck, say it louder," Mark spoke.

"Last night... you... accidentally... uh.... marked me," Donghyuck awkwardly spoke out loud. Mark froze, he was shocked. 

"I mean, I don't mind if you need blood and such..." Donghyuck said. Mark rested his head on Donghyuck's chest, apologizing to him.

"I mean, marking someone, usually leads to dating that person, right? I don't mind being with you, forever... I mean, the feelings mutual between us right?" Donghyuck spoke, Mark lifted his head, only to see his face being flushed red.

Mark sighed, and now they officially are dating.
