Chapter 1: introductions pt1

It was dark. No light appeared.
Is this death?
What- where am I?
Why I'm I here?
I can't be dead...

Alex
My name.
That's...my name.

Alex woke up in a cold sweat. He was sitting on an old, creaky bed. The sheets were ragged and dirty. He looked around. a lightbulb hung from the ceiling, it was barely glowing. The walls were a yellowish-white with planks of wood covering some places. Alex put his hand on his head, he was dizzy and tired. He felt his face, blood was oozing from his forehead.
"The fuck...?" Alex's head was hurting like hell "Where is this place...?"
Alex slowly got off the bed and stood up. He turned his head toward a door and walked towards it.
"maybe this is the way out..." Alex turned the handle and opened the door. As he opened it a bright flash hit him.
"Agh!"
Alex lifted his head as the flash cleared and saw other people. He was in a house, there were a living room, a dining table and a kitchen. The walls were broken down and damaged. there was a tv in the living room, but it only played static.
"Other people?" Alex stumbled out of the bedroom and looked around.
"Alex!"
He turned as he heard his name being shouted. A small boy was running to him.
"Alex!" the boy repeated," You're here too?"
Alex felt the boy hug him.
"Huh?" Alex shifted "Trey?"
Trey had been Alex's friend nearly all his life.
Trey got off him and smiled at him. Alex looked away uncomfortably.
"Do you know where we a-are?" Alex asked
"Not a clue"
Alex looked at everyone, most of them were chatting with each other.
"Who knows why we were brought here" Trey sighed "Better introduce ourselves to the others, eh?"
Alex slowly nodded, getting nervous. Trey grinned and pulled Alex by his arm to a group of people in the living room. A small girl was lying on the couch, two other girls kneeled next to her, obviously worried. A tall blond boy stood next to them, showing no emotion.
"Heyo!" Trey ran to them cheerfully
The tall boy lifted his head in surprise as trey rushed over to him.
"My names trey!" Trey stuck out his hand, waiting for the boy to shake it.
"Uh..." The boy stared at treys hand
"You shake my hand" Trey explained " It's like greeting someone"
"Oh um, I knew that" The boy put his hand on his neck, looking away "Uh anyways, you can call me Jean-Claude or just jean for short"
"Nice to meet ya, Claude!" Trey put his hand away and pulled Alex closer to him "This is Alex!"
Alex felt his heart pound. He was an introvert, he didn't like talking to people. He'd often just sit in his room all day, watching anime. Unlike trey, he wasn't good at socializing
"Well, Uhm, nice to meet you Alex" Jean looked down at Alex.
Alex stood there, sweat pouring down his face.
Should I say something back?
What if Jean thought I was weird?
I'm I doing something wrong?
"Alex?"
He jumped as trey put a hand on his shoulder
"Huh, what!?" Alex backed away
Jean looked at both of them, before heading over to the girl lying on the couch.
"You've got your head in the clouds, mate!" Trey put his hands behind his head "You overthink too much!"
Alex looked to the floor, embarrassed.
"What are you doing?"
Alex lifted his head up to see a girl standing in front of him, tilting her head.
"O-oh um..." Alex felt embarrassed again and looked back down "N-nothing..."
"Psh, boys" The girl look at her nails "My names Natalia"
Alex didn't reply
"Are you going to introduce yourself or just stand there for the rest of your life?" Natalia stared at him
"His names Alex" It was trey who spoke "He just gets kinda nervous talking to new people"
"Weirdos" Natalia muttered under her breath.
Alex lifted his head as Natalie walked over to Jean
"What's up with her? Trey walked up to them
"Beats me" Jean shrugged, "She just stumbled out of the bathroom and then fainted"
The other girl nodded "It was probably whoever brought us here fault"
"Mhm" Natalia agreed "you actually said something smart, Kiryomi"
Kiryomi didn't reply.
"Why is kiryomi so worried about that girl?" Trey put his hands in his pockets
"Oh, you mean Melodie?" Jean smiled "It's because their dating."
Natalie frowned "Melodies my sis, I don't like her hanging round' with Kiryomi all the time..."
Jean laughed "Natalie finds it hard to get on with people, me and her have been friends since we were kids"
Trey giggled while Alex smiled a bit.
"Well, we'll see you later Claude!" Trey Grabbed Alex "How about we go meet everyone else, hm?"
Alex nodded "Yeah, let's go"
