Atsumu had never thought smiles would be so damn attractive. Not until he was showered everyday with toothy grins from the girl he had just met properly for like a week ago.
"Damn it 'Samu I think I'm becoming addicted" the blonde grunted as he brushed his golden locks.
His twin gave him a dead look and nodded, "On drugs? Yeah, I think ya are"
A frown instantly formed on Atsumu's face as he rolled his eyes at his supposed to be kind brother, "Why did I even ask you? Michiiii~" he started crawling towards the ravenette eating one of Suna's jelly sticks.
Michiru giggled at the sight of her friend, his lips pouting, "What is it 'Tsumu?"she asked and took another bite of her food.
Atsumu made his way behind her and was about to hug the girl when a hand slapped his face away, ending up with him stumbling backwards.
Suna stuck his tongue out briefly, "Off limits Atsumu, she's mine" he declared and wrapped his arms around the girl's waist.
Dejectedly and even a bit hurt by how the scene played right in front of him, Atsumu groaned, "I was just gonna ask her Suna, yer overreacting"
"Man just a month ago ya planned to steal her from me" the brunette defended, trying to prove his point.
The blonde rolled his eyes, "Whatever. Anyways, I wanted to ask what it meant if I was getting too riled seeing someone's smile?" Atsumu blindly asked, unsure of what was that feeling that kept bothering him.
"It's probably your screws coming undone 'Tsumu" his twin shrugged from behind.
Sighing in defeat, "Shut yer trap, 'Samu"
Atsumu walked out of their usual eating spot and walked over to the field a few meters away from the gym. He had been thinking what could possibly the reason he was so attracted to the way she smile at him.
Being as handsome as Atsumu, he had a lot of girls with looks way above hers but something with Akari's smile had him weak in the knees.
"Miya!"
A voice he was familiar with called out as he passed by the side of one building. He was looking left and right to search where it came from but to no avail, he couldn't see anyone. "The hell?"
"Look above ya dummy!"
And so, hearing the advice from the same voice he looked up and saw Akari there, looking out from the window, waving her hand with a carefree smile plastered on her face.
Badump. Badump.
Gazing upon her smiling face, Atsumu felt his heart speeding up. There it is again. The soothing warmth spreading from his to everywhere in his body.
He waved at the girl, "Are ya busy Akari?"
"Nu-uh, what's up?" The girl asked, getting curious.
"Let's go check out the library this time, whaddya say?" Atsumu offered, clearly eager to spend more time with her.
"Sure, be down in a jiffy!" Akari replied and swiftly disappeared from her spot.
Ever since, Atsumu would always ask Akari to accompany him to a new place inside the school. Giving the blonde every pleasure to see the smile she would always pull whenever she talks to him.
"And and, ya wouldn't believe what pops gave me for my 16 birthday, Miya-"
That was all he understood as he was stuck again in a daydream as Akari continued blabbering about her daily life with her father. The pair was inside the old music room along with the dusty instruments left there by the former club members.
The orange haired girl was sitting on the window pane and Atsumu was enjoying the view of her face as her hair kept getting swayed in the wind.
"Akari, why won't ya call me by my first name?" Atsumu asked randomly, remembering the fact that she was still referring to him by his last name.
The said girl chuckled at his pouting expression, "I don't wanna sound like yer fangirls, duh? What else?" She reasoned out.
"But I want to hear you say my name!" Atsumu whined like a little kid, which was a character he did whenever he's with Akari.
Her hands quickly travelled again to his soft golden locks, giving Atsumu the wonderful feeling as he fingers would brush on his scalp. "Why?" She asked.
"No particular reason" the boy answered, still in bliss as she stroke his hair.
Akari stopped for a brief moment, and turned his face to look at her, "Then!" She trailed. "Ahotsumu! A combination of idiot and Atsumu! Ahotsumu!"
She grinned once again, sending his heart running a million miles when he bore witness to it. Atsumu could only shake his head in glee.
That smile is so addicting. I am smitten with the way yer lips would curve up. I want to keep making you smile, Akari.
