CLAIRE KAPOWSKI was in the car with her mom and dad WALTER KAPOWSKI and BERTHA KAPOWSKI the three were on there way to palisades for the summer to visit with Walter brother Frank, The three were coming from a small town of Canada. But little did Claire know that the most tragic thing was about to happen.

The car came in contact with another car, possibly teenagers who were acting crazy and not watching where they were going. Claire rode with the sheriff to the station so she could be safe until someone came to pick her up.
A few minutes later Claire heard some yelling.
"Claire!" Yelled Her cousin Kelly, she had the prettiest Long brown hair that anyone could want. But Claire had red hair so the pair didn't know how they could be related. Surely Claire's mother had beautiful red hair but both of there father had the type of hair and color, which was brown
"Kelly! I'm so glad your here," said Claire as she ran to her cousin and engulfed her in a hug With tears pouring down her face.
"It's ok I'm here," said Kelly as she stroked the red heads hair
"It was awful Kelly you should've been there," said Claire as she sobbed some more, Kelly sighed and pulled the girl once more in a hug confronting her cousin
"Well who are you going to live with?" Asked Kelly as she kept stroking Claire's back, Claire pulled back from the hug to wipe her tears
"I don't know, maybe go back to Canada and fend for myself," said Claire as she stopped crying
"Well what if you didn't have to do that?" Asked Kelly as she smiled, Claire looked at her cousin like she was crazy.
"Kelly, you have tons of brothers and sisters, how can there possibly be room for me?" Laughed Claire
"Well mom and dad talked about it and they feel it would be safer if you stayed with us until we move out or go to college so there's a spare bed in my room that my father has put together," said kelly
"So does that mean we're roommates?" Asked Claire as a smile crept to her face
Kelly nodded
"Yep and you'll be attending bayside with me and my friends," said Kelly "isn't that exciting?"
"It is but it's a lot to contend with," said Claire "what if they hate my red hair?"
"Stop that non sense, you have the most prettiest red hair in the world, besides you better be lucky,"
"No Kelly you don't understand, this red hair is the bane of my existence," said Claire as she grabbed her long red locks into both of her hands "I would love to have hair like yours,"
"I'm flattered but my friends will love you no matter if your Quasimodo," laughed Kelly "come on let's go home and get you unpacked, we still have to go to Canada to get your stuff,"
