ARANYANI

The first few classes I had were pretty normal. I did not fall down again, that was a relief. I am not clumsy. At all. I just do not pay attention to my surroundings some of the time.

Caius and I had a free hour so we decided to get lunch. Asaiah had not texted me yet, so we could not meet up with him. We decided on a quaint cafe on campus. The smell of cinnamon and coffee hit me as soon as we walked into the cafe. It had a very homely feel to it with fairy lights hanging on the walls.

Caius and I got to the counter and a pretty barista greeted us.

"Hello, welcome to Baked Buns, what will you have today?" She asked with a smile.

"Hello! I will have ginger and honey tea and a chocochip muffin and my friend will have an espresso and a blueberry muffin. Thank you." I ordered with a small smile.

We paid for our orders and stood in the waiting line for them. Caius told me to find a table and said that he will bring the orders for us.

I looked around the cafe and found at table at one corner of the place. I placed my bag on the table and sat down on the chair. I unlocked my phone and looked through my messages. Just then my phone rang and my face lit up with a smile on seeing who was calling.

"Namaste, Papa. How are you? How is Ma? I miss you both, so much!" I exclaimed as soon as I answered the call.

"Namaste, my baby! We are both good! We miss you, too! And how is your first day going?" He asked.

My heart warmed on hearing his baritone voice from the other end. It has just been a week and I missed them and home so much already.

"Papa, my day is going well, thank you. I love it here."

"I am glad, Kelis. Now, have you had lunch yet?"

Just then Caius came up with our food and drinks. He sat down and asked me who it was. I mouthed "papa" and he nodded and started unwrapping his muffin.

"Kelis?" Papa asked.

"Yes, Papa. Caius and I were just going to have lunch." I answered.

"I will not keep you from your lunch, then. I will speak to you in the evening."

"Okay, Papa. Bye. I love you!"

"Bye, princess. I love you more." He said and hung up.

I locked the phone and put it on the table. I unwrapped my muffin and took a bite of it.

"Mmm, this is so good." I moaned and took a sip of my tea.

"Yes, it is. So, what is the plan for today?" He asked.

"We will attend our classes and then I will ask William and then go to meet Kyna in her room." I replied.

"I will come with you, then. I have nothing better to do. And I get bored without my bestie." He said with a pout on his face.

I made a ball out of the wrapper and threw it at his face. It hit him smack on his forehead and I giggled. He scowled at me in return and just as he was about to return the favor, a hand clasped his wrist.

"Do not hurt the Princess." A monotone voice said.

My giggles grew into full blown laughter at the look on Caius' face. The people in the cafe turned to look at our table. I tried to suppress my laughter but could not. Caius just glared at me and leaned back in his seat with a huff.

"Thank you, Henry. It is okay, I can handle him." I turned to my saviour with a smile.

"As you wish, Princess." He nodded at me and turned around to go back to his seat.
