Elise dipped her feet into the pool, feeling the water cool her instantly. It was only October, but being in Florida meant it was hot until the middle of winter. It sucked, but she would manage. Of course she was alone at home again, her younger sister at her friend's house and her parents and baby sister out buying a car (her parents were car dealers). She sat on the pool steps, only her head out of the water. There were footsteps behind her and Elise turned slightly to see who it was. Horror stood over her, two fingers hooked in his empty eyesocket.
"Hi, yes, do you need something?" Elise looked up at him expectantly. Horror just tugged on his eyesocket before tossing his hoodie aside. "What are you-?" There was no stopping him, as he already had the hose in his hands. And it was on. He sprayed her, though the only thing she rather not have gotten wet were her glasses, but otherwise it didn't matter all too much.
Elise stared quietly at him, hair dripping water. A grin slowly spread across Horror's face as he held the hose up again, but it wasn't pointed at Elise. He pressed the trigger-thing and shot it at someone who seemed to have been very unfortunately by the pool's edge. There was a splash and Elise knew whoever had just fallen in the water. She turned to see who he had sprayed, and two empty eyesockets stared back at her.

Killer had sat by the door on the rug to dry. He had taken off his hoodie and allowed Elise to put it in the dryer for him. He death-glared Horror, who sat on the couch with that stupid grin in his face. Nightmare sat on the opposite end of the couch with one of Elise's books. Speaking of Elise, she had walked away to do who-knows-what. He tried to remember what she had been telling them, but he really hadn't been listening.
Standing up, Killer had made his decision to go find her. He was bored, anyway, and Horror's face couldn't get dumber. Maybe. He left the towel on the rug and went upstairs. He peered into her room, but she wasn't there. He was about to leave when he remembered her balcony. Killer walked up to the glass doors and checked. The door was locked. He looked out to the right and had a short staring contest with a rabbit. It hopped away, under a platform in its cage.
Killer unlocked the door and stepped out, shutting it behind himself. He unlatched the cage and tried to pet the rabbit, but it just made a tiny hiss at him. He proceeded to touch it anyway, which the rabbit responded by biting him. Killer drew his hand back and glared at it. It stared back at him with its round little eyes. He couldn't really remember the last time he had seen a rabbit, though. Elise's didn't count.
He pointed his knife at it. It only sniffed the blade and went back to staring at him. Killer pressed the knife to its back and held it down against the corner of the cage. He waited a moment before releasing it, locking the cage and standing up before he could change his mind. He knew Elise would be upset if it died. She really, really liked that thing. Killer shoved his knife into his pocket and walked up to the white, stone balcony railing. He stepped up on the little extra ledge and crossed his arms on top of the stone. He rested his skull on his arms and quietly watched cars pass by, seemingly invisible to them.

Elise placed the house phone back in the charger and looked down at her hands, which were clasped in front of her in her lap. Her parents had just called, stating they would be home soon. She stood up off her parent's bed and almost walked out of their room, but turned back when the phone rang again. 'Dangit, now what?' She answered the phone and held it to her ear, asking "Hello?"
"Banana!" Was the response from the other end. 'Of course Fay calls now' Elise thought, and responded immediately with "Mango," which was their own code that meant nothing to others but everything to them.
---------------------------------------
Nightmare stared at the TV, his tentacles curled on the couch around him. He watched a cat fall off the side of a table trying to get a pickle jar of its head. Horror sat beside him, loudly eating a large bag of potato chips. The phone rang and they both stared at it. Horror was about ready to get up and answer it, just to scare the caller, but it stopped ringing. Horror shrugged and went back to his chips. Nightmare looked around and only then noticed that both Killer and Elise were missing. He thought about looking for them for a moment, then turned back to the TV and watched a cat fall into a bathtub full of soapy water.
---------------------------------------
Thunder sounded from the dark clouds above and the first drops of rain began to fall. One drop hit Killer on the bridge of his nose and he looked up, watching the rain fall heavier with each passing second. Something hit the metal table behind him and he spun around to see who was behind him, his jacket sleeve catching on the stone railing momentarily. A hooded skeleton stared right back at him. The new skeleton's eyelights were mismatched, the left being red and the other being red and cyan. Other than his eyelights, missing sanity, pulled up hood and dust particles on his clothes, he looked like regular Sans.
"Hey Dust" Killer said casually to him. The other twitched slightly and waved a little, grinning.
---------------------------------------
Elise hung up the phone and put it back in the charger... Again. She looked over at the clock and noted that they had been talking for over half an hour. Then she noticed it had been raining. She stood up and walked out of her parent's room and into her own. There was talking outside on her balcony and Elise went over to investigate. She figured it was Nightmare arguing with Killer or something pointless. She pushed the curtains aside and both skeletons turned to her. One was Killer, and the other was Dust.
Dust twitched and waved at her, grinning.
