Derek P.O.V

I sat in my room listening for her to wake up. I heard her wake up suddenly and was about to go check on her but I decided to give her some time. I waited for any indication as to if I should go in or not. I heard her footsteps coming closer and figured she was about to leave the room so I decided to go in now.

I walked out my room and went across the hall into her room and she turned around and looked at me. She looked at me with fear and hatred and began to back up slowly.

"You don't need to be afraid." I said and moved closer to her. "I brought food." I added. I clapped my hands and jimmy walked into the room and tilted his head to the side showing his neck. I had compelled him earlier to let her feed from him.

"How is that food?" She asked confused.

" You feel that burning in your throat?" I asked.

" Yes" She replied.

" That's the need for blood. You are in transition and if you don't drink blood you die." I said calmly.

She started to freak out at the information she just received. She looked deep in thought obviously contemplating what she should do.

She slowly approached Jimmy and the scent of sweet blood obviously overwhelmed her because her fangs extended on their own. She opened her mouth and sank her fangs into the Jimmy's neck and let the blood flow into her mouth. She moaned at the taste and sank her fangs deeper into Jimmy's neck. She kept sucking until there was no more blood left in him. Jimmy's lifeless body dropped to the floor and she looked in the mirror to see her eyes glowing a dark red as she had become a creature of the night.

Jessica's P.O.V

I saw my eyes glowing and I was afraid of what I had become. A monster that feeds on others to survive. I paced around the room as I  tried to process what was happening. My parents are probably worried sick. I looked at the guy who caused all of this in the first place.

" You! Where am I?" I asked carefully.

" You know I have a name right." He said.

" Well you know I didn't ask right." I retorted.

" It's Derek by the way." He told me.

" I obviously don't care which is why I didn't ask. Now let me out so I can go home to my parents." I commanded.

" I'm afraid I can't do that. You're parents don't know you anymore. I compelled them to believe that you died a few years ago." He explained smoothly.

" WHAT!!! HOW COULD YOU JUST ERASE ME FROM THEIR LIVES LIKE SOME MEMORY NOT WORTH REMEMBERING? WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?" I screamed.

" Calm down, jeez. It's better this way. Do you really want your parents to see you like this. What if you visit them one day and you get hungry and feed on them. What if you can't hold back. They might end up like Jimmy here." He said while pointing to the lifeless body still on the floor.

" Then teach me to control it. Teach me how to hide all this. I have to go see my parents. I can't live without them. This life is pointless without my parents." I demanded.

" YOU WILL TEACH ME." I yelled and the room shook.

It felt like an after shock. I looked at him with a dry look and he finally broke.

" Fine. If you're gonna be one of us and live here I might as well teach you." He said.

" Training starts tommorow at 6 don't be late." He said. " Until then I'm gonna show you around." He added.
