" H-Hey, Molten? Can I ask you a question? "
" What is it Lefty? "
" What are stars? "
" ... What? "
" What are stars? "
" They're the lights you see at night, they are primarily made of hydrogen and helium. "
" Are they pretty? "
" I would think so. Why do you ask? "
" I... I've never seen them and was just curious. "

Molten couldn't stop thinking about that conversation for the rest of the day, It had been a few days since Lefty was turned evil by the portal and Molten could tell that something was bothering the smaller bear but Lefty wasn't cracking. He put on a smile and fooled everyone, but Molten saw through it. Molten knows quite a bit about putting on an act and Lefty was showing all the signs, even if no one could see them but him.
He watched Lefty that entire day, keeping his thoughts to himself, that's when an idea struck him which made him smile to himself as he crawled through the vents towards the back storage room, once he was over the room, he popped open the vent covering and dropped down, waving his hand and wires around to clear the dust of the storage room.
"Jeez Bryan, you need to clean your damn storage room." He muttered to himself.
He shuffled through various crates to find what he needed and settling down to write the small note he had in mind. With another small smile, his wires curled securely around the small box hidden within his wires, once he finished with everything he needed, he put the extra materials back and crawled back inside the vent, closing the cover behind him as he made his way over to Lefty's stage. When he was over the cove, he gently popped the vent covering open and peered in, only for his ocular light to kick in upon seeing Lefty powered down and the curtain closed, perfect. He dropped in and landed right behind his powered down best friend, eyeing him with a small orange tint coloring his cheeks.
'He's so cute.' Molten thought with a small smile. He gently looped a string around his neck, a piece of paper rolled up like a scroll resting against the tip of his star. Lefty loved when he did little scroll-like notes, so Molten did it for him, he always loved watching Lefty's eyes light up like a little kid when he found the scroll and read it. With a quiet purr, he jumped back into the vents and curled up in a ball above Lefty's cove and powered down, purposely leaving the vent cover open so Lefty would know where he was if he needed him.
It wasn't long before his light slumber was interrupted by the cheerful noise of the Window's sound, telling Molten that Lefty was finally done charging and powered on.
Molten heard Lefty moving around below him and eventually let out a soft groan as he stretched out his muscles, before letting out a happy but confused squeal as he found the paper resting on his chest. Molten quietly shifted himself around and peered into the cove to see Lefty pulling the string off his neck and pulling out the rolled-up paper. He placed the string on the ground and opened the note, his gold orb flickering over the note before he smiled and Molten looked at his internal clock, perfect. Bryan would have already left for the night and the other animatronics powered down for the night, including Helpy.
He quietly jumped down behind Lefty and the black bear smiled and latched onto Molten in a hug.
"What was it that you wanted to show me?" Lefty asked with a smile.
"Come with me." Molten whispered and Lefty nodded.
The two made their way to the back of the restaurant and up a ladder onto the roof, which at first struck Lefty a little odd, but as soon as he looked up into the sky, his eyes lit up in glee. Stars were littering the sky, and twinkling beautifully around them.
"Stars..." Lefty muttered with awe.
"Told you they were beautiful." Molten said with a small smile.
"They really are." Lefty smiled.
"This is the first smile I've seen that is genuine after the portal mishap." Molten admitted, making Lefty's ears flatten.
"Was it that obvious?" Lefty asked.
"To someone who knows you as well as I do, Yes." Molten said hooking his finger under Lefty's chin to make the smaller bear look at him. "What's going on Lefty?"
"I-I... I just can't stop thinking about what I said, and hearing everyone so hurt... because of me. I can't even apologize because none of them remember it." Lefty whimpered, a purple oil-like substance gathering in his eye.
"Lefty, that was not your fault, the portal screwed with you and you couldn't control yourself." Molten said, wiping away the oil softly with the pad of his thumb as they spilled over.
"It still was me though! I said those things, I hurt them! I laughed at their exist-" Lefty whimpered, starting to sadly ramble as he always did when frustrated or sad, but his rambling was cut short when he felt Molten's lips pressed against his causing his eyes to widen as he stared in shock and felt his face warming up as he relaxed into Molten's hold and kissed him back, looping his arms around Molten's neck which lifted him a little as Molten held his waist.
It took Molten and Lefty a few minutes to break apart as they gazed at each other, their faces both bright with blush as they realized they just kissed each other. Even with the silence between them, neither of them let go of each other.
Molten was the first one to break the silence, "I... I'm sorry." Molten said.
Lefty quickly shook his head, "Don't be." He said with a smile, pulling Molten back down by his pink bowtie.
Molten woke with a jerk, looking around to survey his surroundings. He was still in the shop with Freddy who was powered down in the corner, a soft smile on his face as he dreamed. Molten curled around his Lefty plush, "I really hope you have a plan Left..." Molten muttered, "We miss you."
"Henry... I don't know where you are, and what even happened to you, but if you can hear me... please take care of them, wherever they are." Molten whispered, before shutting his eyes and drifting off again into more Lefty filled dreams.
