Disclaimer: All these headcanons were made up by me (@poetcriedpower). Most, NOT ALL, of pg Shuichi's headcanons are based on my real life experiences. I made most of these up to cope with stuff that's happened. A lot of them are insanely specific so that's why.

Pregame Shuichi Saihara
Home life:
His parents are emotionally distant, verbally, mentally, and physically ab*s*ve.
His parents never got married, he was basically an unwanted child.
He often goes hungry because his parents will lock the cabinets with food in them to "punish" him
He secretly longs for the family he never had
Personality
He suffers from mental illnesses such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, depression and anxiety issues.
Very Clingy. Never had friends as a kid so he latches onto anyone he can
Almost too forgiving
He'll do anything to make the ones he loves happy and often buried his emotions during his relationship with Kaede (explained later) in order to keep her from getting upset.
Fears hurting people. He constantly thinks it's his fault that people are afraid of him.
He's morally gray, meaning that he has a sense of what he thinks is right and wrong to do to other people but is easy to manipulate because he doesn't really know the right way for himself to be treated
He almost always blames himself when something bad happens
He has almost no clue of any social etiquette so sometimes he comes off as creepy when he really doesn't mean it
He has trouble focusing in class but is actually really smart, so he often finishes his work ahead of time and spends class time zoning out.
He babbles a lot about his hyperfixation on Danganronpa to anyone who will listen
He gets his homework copied off of all the time but doesn't really think twice about it because he views it as helping the other person
He's actually very artistic and creative but often doesn't know how bring together his ideas cohesively
He's awkward. That's it send tweet
He is very jumpy and babbles a lot about Danganronpa and other things often losing track of what he's saying
He's flirty and confident around the people he's comfortable with
Often puts on a cool boy act in front of Amami and Akamatsu (post their breakup) to try to fight his bad reputation
Theater kid
School life
He was never really popular at school but had a crush on Kaede. He thought they were friends but she didn't.
In middle school he went to the same one as Tsumugi, in which she got him into Danganronpa and Homestuck (yes, Homestuck exists in this universe just let me live). She was his only and closest friend but she moved to a different province after they graduated middle school.
