"You know the first thing im gonna do when I get home... " Laughing boomed from the table, until it dropped off, replaced by the chocking sound of someone on the other side. My, and everyones attention drew to kane. Standing, he threw his hest back trying to spit up what ever he had swallowed. Parker grabed him, smaking and whacking his back. helen got up, knocking her drink over covering the table. Pretty soon our hearts began racing as Parker cleared the tabke and lay kane down. He was sequlling, nothing was in his throught. It was then I remembered the coma. Whatever that thing had done to him it was causing this pain. I ran round to whip the fork from the back of his head he had fallen on. On reaching for it it was clear he had bigger issues. His chest was errupting, it was like a volcano with something pushing outward. I cant think what it would be. The fountain of blood gave a bigger burst, cracking open a rib, creating a horriable crushing sound, sending me jumping back from the table. We all took a leap back and on doing so another burst erupted covering us all in his blood and reveling a pale lump. It was something inside him bursting its way out. It began to rise, twisting its way out. The blood was dripping of reveling a faceless creature with silver teeth that opened. It's head tilted back and let of a cry...

The glass in front of riply was steamed up. The faint light from the dashboard lit up the droplets condensed on the pannel above her. She pressed her hand against the glass, it didnt open. Still locked. Trapped. Isolation, it's one thing everyone working in space is affraid of. Riply was no exeption. Quickly she became impatient and was kicking the glass, smaking at it and even yelling out a cry of help. It cracked and opened a think hole above her face. The air became very cold, flooding in to the chamber and freezing the condensed water on her face. She reached through the hole and pressed the open button, but it didn't open. She continued to break her way out and climbed through the hole. It was very dark. The ships windows had no shutters. Riply then feared what she had just pieced together. The ship was out of power and they were nowhere but in the emptyness of space. And she had been awoken to witness her fate finally proceed. Reaching for a torch to help her see the others; she checked the emergency kit located under every chamber. She found one and shon it over at newts chamber. It was white, flooded and frozen up. Conserving her now dead body in a case of ice. She started at the chamber until the emotion seaped out of her; tearing up and swallowing trying to acknowledge her death. She felt she had let her down, but in a way she was glad she wasn't here to witness their fate. Hopefully she didnt even wake up as she was drowning. She just slept through her death. Bishops chamber was still in tact. The lights were off as they were with her own. If it was still working she could have used his chamber to put herself to sleep again, to never wake up. It would be the most painless death available. She began to figure she was going to freeze in the powerless ship.

He was still shut down.

She let out some tears. For a while she was motionless. She turned to the dashboard. Only the red light from the ignition was still dimly flickering. Then looking up and out of the window. No stars. No light. Where was this?

She had an idea. A faint and rarther hopeless one, using the power left in bishop she could activate one last distress call. She bent over and switched him on.

"Hello riply" she whispered in a casual voice.

"Bishop" she greeted him. "How long has it been?"

Bishop still gainong consciousness sat up and turned to Ripley.

"I can't tell" he spoke

Ripley looked confused at his answer. But accepted it, he didn't look how he used to. He was paler, he had rarther droopy skin on his face.

"Why? Can't you tell?"

Bishop was silent for a moment. "Ripley, us androids are not programed like computers. We are made to deal with human interaction in a way which you will feel confortable. We act as if we sympathies with you, which we can't, Or act conforming when you are scared"

Ripley lowered the torch and bowed her head as he spoke.

"So when you ask me that question I mustn't answer like a computer, but like a machine, purely for your confort. So, again, I don't know. But I will tell you it's been a very long time." He finished.

Ripley was shocked beyond belief, beyond compare to when she found out from her nostromo escape. Taking a deep breath she accepted his answer.

"And you don't know where we might be?" She asked with a slightly more desperate tone.

"It's been too long, we cant still be on course"

She was tired, the sickness from sleeping had kicked in. She was giving up.

"Bishop you need to send out a distress signal" she suggested

Bishop knew he could use his power left in him to power up the dashboatd for a few minutes. They both thought it was worth the risk. For bishop he was risking his life. For ripley she was risking company during her long death.

After some rearanging if some wires, a section of the dashbard lit up. A humming sound began.

"Send for help" riply commended

Bishop was silent, he smiled.

"What? Whats happened?" Ripley questioned.

Bishop flicked two switches and a broadcast began to play.

"... order to start new small self sustaining collonies with room for industrial, commercial and residential needs. The quator is housing up to 780 families and over 400 crew..."

"This is a broadcast only a few thousend miles away, ripley" Bishop spoke, "I've just contacted them now. They are sending a ship over to pick us up" he smiled. Ripley didn't, she broke down and ran over to the frozen chamber, filled with guilt for not keeping her promise.
