Operation Save NaLu stage one

Today was a rare day. Natsu didn't have two whores on his lap. So Gray decided to start 'Operation NaLu' right there and then.

"So pyro." Gray said.
"Yeah Elsa?" Natsu replied lazily.
"Who's the one girl in the guild you want to have a serious realonship with? Like not just a one night stand or a week long thing. What girl would you marry?"
"She hates me so much there's no point even answering that. And I've never had a one night stand!"
"So you're a virgin?"
"..."
"Oh my god Natsu Dragneel infamous player is a virgin!"
"Dragon Slayers can't do that unless it's with our mates."
"I still can't believe you're a virgin."
"Shut it Popsicle, I bet your a virgin."
"No actually, I've had sex with my girl." Gray said thinking of Juvia.
"I blew it with my mate."
"Lisanna?"
"Ew no."
"it's Lucy isn't it."
"N-no!"
"Y-yes!" Gray said mocking Natsu. What Natsu didn't know is that Gray had a camera recording everything they said. Mira squealed. Natsu might still love Lucy!
"Listen ice breath, I hate that ugly whore. I feel like dying every time I see her!" Natsu yelled walking away.

Silence filled the guild hall when Natsu stormed away.

"He's so lucky Lucy-Nee didn't hear that." Romeo said, breaking the silence.

"I hate myself,I hate myself, I hate myself, I hate myself, I hate myself." I repeatedly say while banging my head on a tree, yes I was in a forest.
"I hate myself, I ha-" I was cut off by a laugh. I slowly turn around to see Lucy sitting in a tree branch.
"Ya know I hate you too." She said not moving.
"I hate you too." I respond.
"But why do you hate yourself?" She asked, almost staring into my soul.
"Why should I tell you?" I ask rudely.
"Well, we were best friends. And I didn't push you away. You pushed me away. So I might listen." Lucy pointed out. She's right...

"I... Iblewitwithmymate" I say quickly. Lucy's eyes widen.
"You blew it with your mate! BAKA!" She yelled.
"H-how do I win her back? She hates me!" I plead, looking at Lucy. Lucy was my mate and I did blow it.
Lucy just lets out a sigh. "Natsu you do realise that a dragon's mate loves the dragon 98% of the time. I doubt your mate is in the 2%."

But you are aren't you Lucy?

"I Know my mate is in the 2%. I chose another girl over her and was a huge dick to her."
"Maybe say sorry to her?"
"I just realised something!" I shout, my eyes widening.
"What?"
"This is the first civil conversation we've had in a year."
"Oh yeah it is and when did you learn the word 'civil'?"
"An Ex."
"Figures." Lucy's tone was disgusted at this.
"U-um Lucy?"
"What?"
"You wanna be friends again?"
Lucy was silent before hoping down from her tree. Her bangs covered her eyes.
"Lucy?"
Lucy sighs deeply. "Baby steps pinky, we'll be on decent terms for now."
I grin, maybe I do have a chance with her! "Thanks Lucy."
Lucy turns away but I could of sworn she was blushing! "Don't mention it Baka." Was all she said before leaving me.

"Decent terms huh?" I say.

I can work with that.
