Elizabeth's sitting in a chair, facing the sheriff's office where JJ and Peterkin are, her eyes go over his figure, his blonde hair pushed back, busted lip, tanned skin, muscles showing while his hands are behind his head. Looking so confident but she can see the nervousness in his eyes, and the way he bites his lower lip.

"You're like a little rock in my shoe. I shake my foot, I think I've gotten it out, then dang, there it is again." His eyes locked on Elizabeth's green and worried ones.

"Maybe watch where you're steppin'."

"That little rock on the back of my heel makes me want to crush it."

"Okay." The police officer sits down, opens a file and reads off its information, a pissed-off look on her face.

"Unlawful discharge of a firearm. Trespass on protected habitat. Felony destruction of property. All in the last two weeks. You're on a roll, chief." The door not being fully, 100% closed shut gives the brunette the opportunity to somewhat hear what's said by Peterkin, her eyes welling up with tears because she hadn't noticed how bad their lives' have been for the past two weeks.

"If you think I'm gonna rat anybody out, you got the wrong idea."

"I know your little teen brain doesn't like to think ahead, but I want you to come with me to uncharted territory. The future. How you gonna feel six months from now, sittin' in juvenile prison in Wadesboro?" she grabs two pictures from a folder, pushing them towards the blonde. "You know these two?" she stands up and walks to his side. "My question was, do you know these two?" JJ looks down at the pictures, sending Beth a look through the window.

"Stop looking at your girlfriend, I asked you a question." Peterkin says, blocking his view of the brunette.

"They... they broke into John B's house, and... then chased us through the marsh. Other than that, I have no idea." He shakes his head, catching Beth nodding along, trying to reassure him from a distance, once the officer moves to the side, getting out two other pictures.

"Here's a more recent photo. Somebody gaffed them, then used them for chum. Whatcha think, bull shark?" The brunette watches JJ's face gets paler, bile coming up from his stomach at the sight of the two mutilated men. "Here's the bad news, chief. Whoever killed these two men is still out there, and I got reason to believe their next target is a friend of yours... John B." He looks up from the pictures, finding Beth's reassuring gaze. "You kids don't think you're the only ones after the Royal Merchant now, do you? And, yeah. I know about that, too."
