It was a normal meeting day for the nations, well that was not the case for a certain American. you see having learned lots of languages growing up before English. Means sometimes he forgets English words, or how to string sentence together. or simply just forget how to speak English altogether. it didn't help that is first language was very different from English.

His first languages being native American languages and they were so many of them. All completely different from the next. but saying he represented the land he had to learn them. Then came the Dutch. With they're weird sounding letters and symbols. not many new a native language along with Dutch so there wasn't many teachers who he could understand. Though he had to learn it,so it took some time but he was a fast learner. with a little help from the Netherlands he soon became fluent in Dutch. Then came the Vikings and a broad sounds that he never heard of and characters he never seen. it didn't help that there was five different languages he had to learn at the same time with them that was being Finish, Danish, Swedish, Icelandic, Norwegian. though unlike the Netherlands they were very good teachers. It did help them that they knew Danish they had a ground point to work with. It took a little longer having to learn more languages at one time. but after a few years he can hold a conversation in the languages. Then to add insult to injury the Spanish came. so he had to start the learning process all over again. Spanish was not the hardest language he had to learn. then a few short years after the French game. Then came the rules and words sounds exactly like each other but a small influx to change entire sentence. And lastly the English. Now are there was a great teacher but he had already learned so many languages. Sometimes you got the rules mixed up or made sentences the wrong way. but author was patient eventually he learned English and became one of his main languages. And over the years he lived more and more people would come his land new languages. Which he learned and he learned with no one teaching him.

Now he sat in a world meeting completely forgetting how to speak English. Asisat their absentmindedly trying to remember any bit of English. he probably should have gotten more sleep. he was snapped out of his thoughts by A sharp English accent yelling for him to pay attention as he was just asking a question.
"¿qué?"(what?) Alfred asked he very aware it wasn't in English. which caused several hands to turn his direction. Who were very confuse that he even knew a second language. (Somehow Spain forgot)

" speak English you bloody wanker" England barked

"我忘记怎么说英语了,好吧"(I forgot how to speak English, okay!) he said quickly realising that was not in Spanish or English languages he could get away with speaking. Because of the known population of Spanish and English speakers in his country. But a language that wasn't even European, He would have fun explain that one.

"first off why are you speaking Chinese, second off what you mean you forgot English?" Yao asked very confused about the western nation. He also felt slightly honoured that America had taken the time to learn.

"Tarkoitan, että olen oppinut niin monia kieliä, että joskus unohdan puhua joitakin."(I mean I've learnt so many languages sometimes I forget how to speak some.) he responded and Finish slightly gripping his hair out of annoyance and frustration.

"You still remember Finish?" Finland asked very proud of the nation he called as one of his sons still remember his language.

"bien sûr, je me souviens de toutes les langues parlées dans mon pays que je connais" (of course I remember any language spoken my country I know) Alfred responded getting even more frustrated as he tried to speak English.

"how many languages are spoken in your country mon fils?" France question

"to fucking many" He responded getting even more tired. it took him a second to realise he had answer the question in English.

"finally" he said tiredly

After this encounter many of the nations tried speaking to Alfred in different languages to see if you could understand them. which he of course knew. Though he found it hilarious watching their surprised reactions to his knowledge of their language.

(I feel like Alfred would know many languages because there is no set language in the US like there is an all the other country ) example in Canada it's English and French
