I stroll grudgingly towards the car, upset from what had only occurred two minutes ago. I had just got laid off from my job. They didn't call me on the phone and made me drive all the way here for no reason; I just lost the only source of salary to support myself to pay the bills. I was running overdue on the rent and required money. Initially, I knew I had to look through town for any employment available that I could get my hands on. Forthwith, I'm going to have to rest on it.
Maybe I could go file for unemployment in the morning. I can't believe I got let go. Me out of all people; I labored there for three in half years! But, of course, I tried my best to work harder than everyone. But I guess my hard struggle never seems to pay off.
As soon as I get in my car, I settle my head down on the steering wheel, trying so hard not to break down into tears. I breathed in and out, calming myself down. I wasn't going to give up; I would find a job by tomorrow with a better income. I started up my car and steered towards my residence, depleted from the weeping. I sucked up my dignity, trying to move on; who knows, this could be an excellent opportunity to find even more promising employment.
The highway back to my apartment was ten minutes. I usually managed to get by with thirty dollars in my gas tank. Hopefully, it will be a reasonable price next week. I never really did anything else but drive to and from work and occasionally go grocery shopping.
I glanced at the parking lot of my apartment complex, excited to take a long-needed nap ultimately. I pulled my keys out of the ignition, grabbing my bag from the front seat of my car. I slammed the door closed, walking away and locking the automobile twice.
I speed walked to my front door, it stood entirely separate from the other apartments, but it was still in the same building where stairs directed straight up to my residence. When upstairs, the kitchen was on the side. I had two rooms, one was a guest, and the other was the master bedroom. The bathroom was in the middle of the spaces. Then the washing hooks up is in a closet for laundry. It's in the hallway next to the guest area.
The living room was big enough for a couch set; I also had a mini office for paperwork and graphic design.
I went into my bedroom to hastily change into some baggy grey joggers with a white cotton t-shirt. I went to grab a hairbrush to brush my hair into a ponytail. Then, I head toward the bathroom to clean my face with some acne face wash to help make myself feel better. I look in the mirror, my eyes begging for shut-eye. I ignored the drowsiness so I could focus on looking for a makeshift job of some sort, deciding to hop on my desktop computer to find one.
After a half-hour of looking, I didn't find anything I wanted to do. I sighed as I struggled to discover a career I could see myself enjoying. Finally, I glanced back down on my desk when something caught my eye
"Liberty Mall hiring a Security guard to watch a Fazbear's Mini Mall during the night shift from 12:00 am to 6:00 am paying 24 dollars an hour."
I was shocked. It felt like I was looking at gold. "That's only six minutes away!!" I was so happy to find this newspaper clipping.
It almost felt too good to be true. I spring into my room, putting on a pair of jeans along with a plain white t-shirt, grabbing a pair of converse before heading out the door with the newspaper, and my bag, car keys in hand. I felt like a goofy kid again, jumping with pure joy.
I hopped into my vehicle, putting the keys back into the ignition. It only took me five minutes to get there since the traffic wasn't bad. As I drove up to the driveway of the mall, I couldn't help but get a gutted feeling from something telling me to turn back. I shrugged it off, thinking I should have grabbed something to eat.
