Chapter 2: Serendipity at it's finest

Kenzo's POV

Today will be the happiest day of my life finally, I'll get to ask her hand in marriage. For seven years I waited for this moment to happen. Hoping I'll get to hear her answer that would change our lives forever.  Now she's right in front of me while I'm down kneeling on one knee, handing over a red velvet opened box. 

"Ken.." she gasped for air and looked around. Everyone was wondering kung ano ang susunod na mangyayari.  I just smiled at her, "Will you be my wife for the rest of my life, Vanessa? " 

She was startled by my question, I was holding her left hand nung bigla niyang binawi ito . "Kenzo...I'm....I'm so sorry."  Para akong binuhusan ng malamig na tubig sa sagot niya.  She grabbed both my arms at tinulungan akong tumayo. But it feels like my knee was glued to the floor. 

"Vanessa please say yes?.."  nagmamakaawang tanong ko sa kanya but all I could see in her face was frustration. " I'm sorry Ken but I can't. Hindi pa ako handa." and without any hesitation she just left me there hanging. Pakiramdam ko naiwan ako sa ere  ng walang kalaban laban.

My family and her family were shocked sa mga nasaksihan nila, akala ko eto na yun . All along I thought  seven years would be enough for us to be ready...pero hindi pa rin pala....

"Excuse me sir can you please sign here? " one of the tour guides asked me. and signed a piece of paper.  "Gomawoyo ssi. " (Thank you Mr. ) I turned around and looked for a perfect spot where I can take good shots from my camera. And for a second...as soon as I click my camera I know for myself I captured a perfect smile from afar. A smile that I know I wouldn't forget for the rest of my life.

I chuckled after seeing her face blushed, she really thought I don't speak English. Of course, I knew by the way I'm half Korean and half Australian but I know tagalog. I just had the chance to capture her and she wants me to delete the photo. Well sayang naman ang mga ngiti niya kung e dedelete ko lang toh. She will never know how lovely she is.

As soon as I entered the bus I looked for a vacant seat but only to know na  ang bakanteng upuan ay katabi ni Miss Photogenic. "Is this seat taken?", she was startled for a while but then regain herself. " Actually no..." I was about to sit when she started talking again. " You can only sit here " she taps the vacant seat  "Only if you delete my photo there " while pointing at my camera.

" Okay is everyone here? Please do take your seats now we are about to go to our next destination. Kangsahamida "

I gave her a smirk instead and sat down on the vacant seat. " Say's who?" I just can't help but laugh in my mind, I can see it in her face how pissed she is now. I find her cute, might as well have someone to ruin her day. "Kainis! Bwesit! Mukhang gago! kala mo naman kung sinong gwapo...tss" she started mumbling but I can clearly hear the last part tho haha. I continued scanning the pictures in my camera when I noticed that she's peeking.

" Dangsin-eun dangsin-ui jasin-ui il-eul hal su issseubnikka ?" (Can you just mind your own business Miss?)   just so you wonder miss I have my own language too hahaha!

" For god sake! I'm not bilingual in your language Mr. will you please speak in English?! "

Out of nowhere she suddenly burst into frustration. " You were cursing me in your language, I think it's only fair I talk in my own language too? Right?" Nanlaki na naman ang mga mata niya sa gulat.

"How did you know I was talking something like that? Don't tell me you understand tagalog?" napaharap na siyang nagsasalita sa akin.

"Well, I can see and hear it from your tone. " I gave her another smirk and continued scanning on my camera. " I'm sorry to disappoint you but my camera didn't capture you, Miss, you can scan it here." I handed my camera to her but she just looked at it. She just slightly lean backward and continued on mumbling.
