Author's Note: Hey folks, MC is gender neutral as always! Just wanted to write a story about our favorite bunny blacksmith.⭐Enjoy⭐
This was a bad idea. Of course it was. You just HAD to play around with Sage's sword. You managed to hurt your wrist, broke down a wooden table and worst of all, you damaged the sword. It looked so out of shape. A bump was on the sword, it was bent. You had no idea how you actually did that too. Now you were rummaging through the streets of Porrima with the black, out of shape sword in your arms. Finally arriving at the shop you sheepishly entered.
"Welcome." a calm voice said. "Hi ,yes, hello Tulsi." god you hated how awkward that sounded. "Oh, it's you." the woman's expression changed a bit. "Here to do one of Sage's works?" Tulsi signaled the sword in your arms. "Ah, that is not the case. I may or may not have fiddled with the sword and..." without finishing your sentence you extend the sword for the blacksmith to examine. Tulsi's eyes shifted in confusion and horror. "Mother Night how did you manage to do this?" Tulsi said, lifting the sword to look at the side view. "You are just as reckless as him.".
Here you were, feeling like a child getting scolded by their mother. "Of course you would be one of his significant others." You heard Tulsi say. "Oh no. I am not in a relationship with Sage. Thought I told you that before." you said. Whatever it meant, Tulsi looked surprised again "It seems I also forgot you know Vairian.".
You decided to stay around while Tulsi worked on fixing the sword. Good thing you had a good purse full of silver coins you managed to collect while bounty hunting with Sage. "I... I still haven't thanked you. For saving me from that crazy woman. And staying a little while after that." Tulsi hesitantly began as she swiped her long brown locks out of the way thile the iron heated up. You had stayed with Tulsi for a while even though she did not want you. You had treated some of the bruises and scratches she had. "No problem. I was impressed with how fast you managed to recover from that." you laughed away.
Tulsi got the iron out of the fire, starting to beat it into shape. She really was strong wasn't she? You giggled to yourself. "What is it? I can catch you staring at me you know." Tulsi said, sounding unimpressed. "It's just, you look like you could easily lift Sage up. I don't know why but it just came to me." you said. Tulsi playfully tsked. "I don't know if I can but might give it a shot if I decide to throw him out of a window.". You giggled, "No, I'm serious." "What makes you think I'm not?" you both joked around. It was really fun to hang out with Tulsi.
You and Tulsi often chatted now. Anytime you would drop at Porrima you would take the time to visit her. On Tulsi's part, it was very appreciated. "And then he would go under fruit stalls to escape sellers after sneaking out a quarter of their fruits. He would always hide on those wooden carts when they looked for him with brooms in their hands!" Tulsi laughed at the memory. "I'm not surprised. I swear Sage says he is not a cat-" Tulsi cut in "Oh he is a cat. An idiot one at that. If you go pspsps he looks. I have tried it many times. It's funny how he tries to look all scary but is so easily distracted." Tulsi kept on working on another sword. Your eyes shined, "Ah, I see you are a woman of culture as well.".
Gossiping about Sage was almost the highlight of you visits to Tulsi. She talked about how he was a fool even as a child. She once said "We were both orphans on the streets of Porrima. We found each other and called one another brother and sister.". Tulsi was a good woman. Lonely or not she seemed like she had been through trials of life over the course of her youth.
"Hey. are you listening to me?" Tulsi snapped her fingers in front of your face. "Huh? Oops, sorry. Got lost in thoughts." you replied. "I'm closing the shop. It's night anyway, you should head back." Tulsi said. You both stepped out into the noise of crickets and city sounds dying down slowly in the night. She was surprised when you extended your hand to her. "Hello, my name is MC." your posture confident in a dorky way, a reassuring hand extended towards her, Tulsi couldn't help but ask "What are you doing?". Flashing a bright smile, "I'm meeting you again. Our first didn't go the best way it could've gone." you said. Tulsi smiled at your antics. "Well then, I am Tulsi. Nice to meet you as well.". Red dusting her tan cheeks, Tulsi bid you goodbye only to see you tomorrow.
