Hey hey hey :P so yeah i know, stories and updating are bad but i thought this was an awesome idea so lemme know what you think okay :P
“James,” a young red haired woman whispered, standing behind the living room door as she looked at her black haired, bespectacled husband with emerald eyes. He turned his hazel eyes to her and immediately noticed how red her on wee, she had been crying.
“Lily, please love,” he said, sounding heartbroken, “I forgave you for what happened, please don’t be scared of me or hide from me. it hurts even more.”
Lily Evans now Potter took a shuddering breath and came into the room, taking a seat beside him. He noticed her trembling immediately, and waited patiently, he didn’t want to push her.
“I’m . . . I’m-” Lily cut herself of biting her lip and tears fell down her cheeks. James quickly cupped her face in his hands and brushed them away.
“Lily, my love you can tell me, trust me please, I love you, I will do anything for you just please, tell me what is making you cry.”
Lily looked up, and he could see the turmoil in her eyes.
“I’m pregnant . . . by eleven weeks.”
At first James Potter felt a surge of joy, but then his insides started to freeze when he realised what she meant, it wasn’t his child, it was Severus Snape’s.
“James?” she squeaked, “please, please say something, don’t be angry with me, please you can’t, I need you-”
“Shhh,” he cooed, “Pulling her into his embrace, “Shh, my love, things – things like this can happen, but whatever you choose to do, I will be with you.”
“I don’t want to abort it,” she said quickly, “I could never-”
“I know, shhh,” James said gently, they’d had these talks of course. “Would you like to keep it?”
“. . . I don’t know.”
James nodded slightly and started playing with her hair as she broke into tears again. Of course he was angry, he thought to himself, but not at her, he could never be angry at her. He was angry for leaving her alone for weeks at an end, making her lonely, without anyone to speak too.
It was his fault she’d turned to Snape for a friend, his fault she needed someone to take care of her and love her, but after that, he’d promised not to leave her alone again. And he wouldn’t. She could have his child, and they could keep it, James thought, sure it may have been a reminder of one night of infidelity for the rest of their lives, but it would be a part of Lily, therefore in some way a part of James and nothing would change that.
That year on the first of September, Lily gave birth to a baby boy. Skin pale and hair jet black just like it’s father, but it’s eyes were Lily’s emerald orbs. It was a tiny little thing, born two months early and had to be kept in care for a couple of weeks before Lily could take the child home, it was only then she was allowed to name it, in case it didn’t survive. He would be Sanders Potter Snape. James would be his father, she wouldn’t tell Snape unless she had to, but the reminder had to be there.
In November, Lily fell pregnant again, this time James was overcome by joy, a second child and his one truly his own, not that he would love it any more. By the time Harry James Potter was born, Sanders was almost one year old, and surprisingly intellectual for his age. He was already speaking in complete sentences, walking and running, he could write, and read, and remembered everything he was told.
When Lily came home from the hospital, Sanders and James were in the living room, both excited accompanied by Sanders and soon-to-be Harry’s godfather, Sirius Black. Lily beamed as she showed off her new jewel, James was beside her immediately and Sirius lifted the toddler up so he could see.
