I wonder what life would be like,
If you’d stuck around.
How different things would have been…
All the heartache and pain,
All the emotional turmoil,
It would never have been.
I do things with a grudge and a groan,
That I would have done for you,
With a smile.
I lie with a straight face,
But it would have been the truth,
If I said it to you.
I know I can’t blame you for leaving-
It wasn’t your fault.
