Separated - Chapter 3

"(Y/N), grab my hand!" I grabbed the palm of the voice. It was so soft, and warm. The soothing voice made me relax, and soon I became oblivious to everything around me, which ended the death attack.

(Lucys POV)

I was so worried when Natsu entered the circle around her!
Please (Y/N), Natsu, be okay..
I don't want them to get hurt..
Tears started pouring as I feared the worst.

(Natsu's POV)

I grabed and caried her bridal style. She won't die. Not if my life depends on it. She hasn't done any wrong.. yet.
I look down to her face, all in tears and in pain. the magic stopped and I came out holding her. The whole guild shouted with glee and stared at her.
"Why are you guys staring!? Get her to the Guild!" I shout.

(Your POV)

I wake up and turn to see where I am. When I see Natsu sitting on a chair next to me. He looked like he hasn't sleeped in days! His usually bright skin was now pale, his pink hair lost some color and he smelled, but I didn't care.
What a perfect way to die.
But then I felt warmth in my hand. I looked down to Natsu's hand intertwind with mine. I couldn't help but feel regret. He really is kind. This whole time he waited for me to get up..but then..

Why does my brother want him dead?

~Flash Back~

"Zeref is mom going to be okay?" I was around 9 at the time.

"Shes dead (Y/N), can't you see that?! Dad killed her..." He was around 12.

"..No..mom-mommy!!!" I fell to my knees as Zeref stood next to me, staring at moms corpse.

"And now we kill dad." I mumbled out over the tears.

We tried to defeat our father but he was too powerful, every time we tried to hit him, he reversed it on us. Specifically Zeref. He was bruised but every time he got up, protecting me. My home, Tenrou Island, became a war between father and son.

"(Y/N)- Just leave! There's only person who can kill our father..
Natsu Dragneel..
kill him..for in the future he destroys me. And how can I kill dad..if I'm dead...?"my brother said in pain.

"Z-Zeref! No- No! I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE YOU...I can help you! Please!" I scream, my own brother is risking his life for my wish..No for our wish. Because we can never live in peace, we are monsters created to kill. And thats what I intend to do.

"Kill..Natsu, that will be the g-greatest help of all." he stuttered.
"Go already you idiot..I love you, kid." He said smirking, wiping blood from his face. I look over to my father, across the beach. His eyes were cold.

There was a good chance I would never see either of them.

"I love you too, big brother." I run the opposite direction and run as fast as my 9 year old legs could take me. As I reached the end of the island, on a cliff, I knew this would be where I rested.
"When I wake up, Natsu Dragneel I will destroy you."
An eight year nap, I took.
And now I regained all my energy.

~End of flashback~

"Thats why.." I whisper.
"To avenge mom, and help my brother." But, I can't kill-

"(Y/N) you're up." I turn to find Natsu awake as well.
"Natsu, did you, stay with me?" I ask curious.
"Yeah..You've been asleep for a week. I couldn't leave you, this was my fault. Gah.. I always act like an idiot." I could sense a certain sadness within him. For a while minute we just sat in silence, just thinking.

"Hey, why don't you tell me about your past." he asks.
"Okay..but I think the whole guild should hear this. It may take a day or so for me to stand-

AH!" Natsu flashes out a bright smile, looking at me from his arms.
"Well then, lets go tell them." His cheek turn a slight red and I couldn't help but let this happiness grow within me.

But I need to end him.
