"gosh, i can't believe you're really moving to new jersey in two days. this is crazy, i mean, our whole lives we've been practically right next to each other. now you're gonna be hundreds of miles away," i said blankly while clicking buttons on my controller.

"i knowww, i don't want to but we have to. i don't know why but mom says we have to go," raven mumbled.

this is gonna be so weird, not being able to see her every month. we always hang out and go drive places. we do everything while we're together, and not being able to get my monthly dose of best friend is going to be the death of me.

"you can always visit and you know that, you're welcome anytime. especially since mom knows how hard this is gonna be on us. plus, junior is gonna be gone most of the time since my aunt and cousin are moving with us," raven explained.

"you're right, well, imma head to sleep. love you," i yawned out.

"love you."

i ended our facetime and flopped flat down on my bed. i stared straight at the ceiling. my red led lights lit up around my room and my galaxy projector on my floor, throwing up the stars on my ceiling.

my phone lit up with a notification so i turned my head over and threw my hand, grabbing my phone. i opened snapchat.

my alarm clock rung, snapping me out of my wonderful dream about ski mask the slump god. today was the last day of school, may 30th. a day i've been waiting for forever. i'm over being a sophomore, it's boring. nothing interesting goes on. it's like being a normal middle child with no interesting stories to tell at family gatherings.

i got up to shower and eat a quick bagel.

i ran out the door and hopped into raven's car.

"ready?" she asked.

i nodded, she blasted bored by billie eilish as she zoomed off towards the school.

we walked in and it was somewhat like a normal day. except, it was the last. all day we really did nothing. it flew by so fast. while walking to raven's car i saw a bunch of kids were crying as if we wouldn't see each other next year.

besides, there's something more important right now, my fucking best friend is LEAVING me tomorrow. i'm literally going to die on my own.

i just can't wait to go visit my cousin and tía in florida. summer, here i come!
