chapter dos...
                          The Lockdown
It never occurred to me why Jacob went through the park to get to school when it was a lot easier to go on the sidewalk like me oh well... As I approached the school I huffed here we go another boring day of school that chips away a piece of my soul everyday.

I noticed Jacob in the hallway talking to his friend Derek I dont know why but for some odd reason Derek just gave me weird vibes. The bell eventually rang and I went to my first class. As we got out our stuff I noticed I forgot a pencil ughh... I looked to my side where Jacob sat. wait this is my chance to finally talk to him by asking for a pencil. here we go.
"umm hey Jacob do you by any chance have a pencil I can borrow? I forgot mine." I asked hopeful, he didn't seem to thrilled by my question "how do you forget to bring a pencil to school." he said rolling his eyes slightly. "I don't know i-i'm sorry for asking." I replied sadly the one time I talk to him he's just a douche but maybe he's having a bad day or something I tried reassuring myself. "No it's fine here," he said handing me a pencil "I didn't mean to come off rude." he said.

Time Skip to Le lockdown
————————————————
All of a sudden there was an announcement over the loud speaker the teacher told us to hush. The announcement said we were going into an emergency lockdown. Most the students seemed scared. We all got out of our seats and we're sitting on the floor ironically I ended up next to Jacob. I pulled out my phone to text my dad and I noticed he pulled his out to call someone. probably his mom or dad. As his phone rang faintly waiting for his dad or mom to answer he looked at me and we made eye contact for what felt like forever. until we both just averted our eyes...
