"How are you liking your time in community counseling Kyle?""Horrible"
"So I've heard, Cassie says you never talk." Why of course she would tell her grandpa about me, that little red head. She really needs to learn to mind her own god damn business instead of bitching about mine. "Kyle, is it that hard to make a conversation? "
"Exactly why should I make a conversation with them Doc?" (Doc-Doctor) I didn't see any point in talking to them about my life, they were all crazy people who seemed to look like bunch of walking dead people.
"One of the ways to overcome anger is to face things that trigger it, when you're on the verge of breaking out, you tend to think of things that may harm or effect the people around you. Thoughts such as that, stop you from overreacting"
"Bullshit"
"No Kyle, it is not bull-shit. It's science, a proven theory to treat patients like yourself." I didn't believe a word this old man was saying, I think he was aging terribly. Maybe he, himself is sick in the head. Then again, if he was, he wouldn't be treating me. "My grand-daughter has been asking me to find ways she could spend time with you" I scoffed hearing that. The red head really can't stay away from me can she? Despite my warnings, I guess I have to scare her a little.
"You can tell her to spend time with her boyfriend" he seemed surprised to hear that.
"Boyfriend?"
"Yes, she's dating that Harrison guy in school football team. I'm surprised you didn't know"
"Do you mean Harrison Ford?"
"I don't know his last name"
"Yes, that should be him. The football player, he's my grandson. Cassie's cousin, I think she said that to divert attention from young men. After all, my grand daughter is a beautiful young lady, just like her mother. " what a petty liar, I wonder why she lied about having a boyfriend. I really didn't take her as that kinda girl, maybe she's dating her cousin behind her familys back. That is unacceptable, dating her own cousin. I think I puked in my mouth. Gross.
"I'm sorry I'm late" talk about the devil and she shall appear. What is she doing here? Oh god, don't tell me she's seeing a therapist too, wait a second, that's her fucking grandpa why would she have to come here to get treated. No wait, she's not even sick. She came for a visit maybe. That should be right.
"You should have been here 15 minutes ago"
"I'm sorry granpa, I had to take a test to participate in the nuerology program at Brighton Bay."
"Alright then, take a seat. I'll bring over the papers you have to fill out. Don't mind me Kyle, it'll only take few minutes" he walked out the door, as Cassie sat down on the furthest side of the sofa away from me. There was only silence for 47 seconds before she opened her mouth.
"Kyle Preston why are-"
"Harrison is not your boyfriend." She took a second to comprehend what I said.
"That is correct, he's not"
"Why did you lie to me?"
"I thought it would be fun to pull a joke on you" I gave her the are-you-serious look. She gave me that same poker face that held no emotion. What is wrong with this girl?
"Maybe you should sign up as a client to your paps"
"Maybe you should sign me up as your friend"
"Are you for real?" She just stared at me, blinking. She has long dark lashes that curls upwards, why didn't I notice that before? I can tell when girls have fake lashes, that is a real one. "Cassie, leave me the fuck alone. Or I will make you regret ever getting close to me" I stood up to leave, she didn't say anything this time.
