I chose to be naive. I chose to believe his excuses. We kept passing the I LOVE YOU'S back and forth to each other, there was nothing left to say, my heart was torn between what he was saying and what was the truth.

That was until he asked me...
He asked me to marry him.

I didn't know what to say, I said I wasn't sure. I left it at that.

I mean I was sixteen years old I wasn't thinking about marriage I was thinking about college. I didn't want a proposal that came off a computer screen. I've never seen him in person. I've never even held his hand.

He sent me a message, it was a paragraph long. I was confused at first but now, looking back now. It all makes sense.

-'Some people might not be who you think they are, just never jump to any conclusions, when you see me, i'm still the same man that loves and cares for you'

I didn't think anything of it as I just typed ok.
